How can I be persistant without being needy? Where's that fine line? What's the difference between the 2? |

You're needy if you think you need whatever it is you're pursuing with whoever you're pursuing it with. You're persistent if you're so hopelessly mesmerized by her unending charms that you can't resist the urge to woo her at every available opportunity. Your boy, 870 |

Neediness is being outcome-dependent. Persistence is being outcome-independent. I.E when needy you are desperate for things to turn out a certain way, persistence you are still trying but you don't care for the things to turn out in a very specific way. |

They are the same thing. Only difference is that persistance is done with confidence, while neediness is not. |

the opposite of neediness or clingyness is indifference needy = need it because you care persistance can come from a place or neediness, or it can come from a place of indifference the place it comes from is dependant on you, you may have 200 numbers saved and just persistently mass text them once every two weeks for meet ups to go do stuff so you can try to bang them, who shows up though doesn't really matter, and you don't really care either way, you just send out the texts cause you're going out, if they come or not who gives a shit or... you may have that one special girl you think about day and night, and you NEED that one girl and care so much, and you need that special way to get her without failing, she is ohhh sooo important and you just couldn't let her go, she is so special she's like flowers and daisies and it was love at first site, you will try try and try again for her, because you are going to get her, at all costs it has to be her!! and when she doesn't show up AHHHH HEART BROKEN, WHAT IS THE TACTIC, YOU WILL TRY ANYTHING TO GET HER, IT HAS TO BE HER!!, how can you be persistant or not persistant enough to get HER!! IT MUST BE HER!! you could also be calling a girl who gives you excuses to meet up and you cut down the excuses for fun because you don't care if she ever calls you back and you think it would be funny to put her on the spot or, you could be calling a girl who gives you excuses to meet up and you cut down the excuses cause some PUA coach told you it was how to get her, and you don't want to fuck it up... cause if you doo, OHHH NOOO end of the world, HUGE DEAL!! |
