| Post subject: | Moving from opening... |
I have zero AA at this point. I have no problem approaching women and talking to them. I find it fun, entertaining and pretty much look at it as if both parties are getting something out of it(Everyone loves to chat after all!) but I have a hard time moving from an opening to a transition. I feel this is something I really need help with. As is i've found myself incredibly bored opening sets. It's just too easy! There's no fear there for me at all and zero challenge. I can talk to anyone, not care and just have a good time but progressing from an opening is what gets me. I like to think I play an natural game, being able to adapt and open on spur of the moment("Do you know about X, Y and Z down there?" Blah, blah, blah.") with not a care in the world but beyond that, man... I just have no idea what to say. Tonight I had a SHB(11/10) I opened and had in a conversation. She was smiles galore! Seemed genuinely happy to have a conversation with me and keep it going but, truth be told, beyond the average "I noticed you walk by and wanted to ask you something" I just couldn't keep it going. I ended up using a crappy line, telling her I was from out of town and my friend and I were looking for exciting clubs to go to. She was pretty boring when I suggested clubs, listing only two(I knew so many more!) and I just had no idea how to move beyond that. Thankfully my friend interjected and I had an excuse to ignore the SHB, turn my back to her and start focusing the conversation on another woman who was so deep into her own conversation that I really had no chance to say anything. What's the best way to move from an opener? |
