Long post, so please bear with me. There's a girl on my course at college who I know has been seriously in to me for a while. She's quite shy during the day to be honest, and I try and make conversation and make her laugh, and it's ok. We also have one mutual friend who used to be SPAM with her, so they know each other well, and who I am very good friends with. He has told me several times that she's seriously in to me. He also has his own g/f so nothing will happen between them. When I meet her on a night out she's far more lively. On three fridays in a row the following happened when I saw her: she said she loved me, pretended we were a couple when a couple of our mutual friends were around, and a few days ago I saw her with her friends (who I have never met before) and they told me they'd heard a lot about me from her and were pleased to finally meet me. When I see her on a night out we hang out and flirt for a bit, but she always goes off to her friends, so I got the impression she wouldn't sleep with someone unless they had started dating first. So I decided to make a move, strike while the iron's hot. After a class this morning I went up to her and said I was gonna take her out this week. Problem was the mutual friend was there too so perhaps that made it extremely awkward? She seemed quite shocked to be honest. She said "I don't understand what's happening", and "what do you mean?". She tried to put a smile on, but I felt really awkward about it. I told her to fb me her number so I could text her and arrange things, and she said ok, but of course she hasn't. I feel pretty devastated to be honest. I really like her, and was so certain she would be up for it. I have played it pretty cool so far, but I was so worried that she would lose interest if I didn't man up and make a move. I don't know if I can salvage this by either reminding her when she's sober, or try flirting on a night out. Any advice? |

My advice is dont be offput by one experience and the associated result. As a great PUA once said there is only "succeed or learn" not "succeed or fail" Be proud you manned up even if it didn't work out. As far as going forward with this one chick? Not very important, I wouldn't spend much time in machinations concerning her. |

Cheers man. I feel pretty sick about it to be honest, because I don't know how she could have made her interest more obvious than to straight up kiss me. As far as going forward with this one chick? Not very important, I wouldn't spend much time in machinations concerning her. I suppose I'll have to shrug it off somehow. |
