So I know this girl from high school that I hang out with and we're supposed to be going out to the movies today at 2, I text her at about 10.30 and its 12.30 now, do you think shes going to flake? she was cold yesterday. Me: Up for a horror? Her: No Me: Okay, we'll decide when we get there then. You seem like the kind of person that watches scary stuff. so she ignores that yesterday, but tbf she was out. This morning i text her - Me: I'll see you at 2 by ____ :p so yeh, im super worried shes going to flake at that. shes flirtatious in person just not by text. oh and if she does turn up, you guys got any pointers? |

You shouldn't worry about it, and you should definitely not express your insecurities as to whether she shows up. Some girls are just bad at sending texts and won't reply unless it seems important. Go to the movies at 2, if she's not there just go cold turkey on her and freeze out, she's not worth your time anymore at this point. Oh, and a last piece of advice! When you meet her, don't mention your worries about her not showing up, and don't ask her about the text. Act like there was never a doubt in your mind that she would show up. |

Yes, don't be insecure or lead on that you are concerned about her flaking. What I like to do, especially if I can tell they are not into it and are likely to flake, is to turn up the pressure if for no other reason than to make them feel bad for not showing. Text her even if you don't go to the movie and tell her you are there and are waiting outside the kiosk for her so you can walk in together. Imagine how this girl will feel reading that text, knowing she agreed to go but totally left you hanging and now you are actually at the place you agreed upon fully expecting her to be there. And she's sitting at home painting her toenails or whatever. Girls shouldn't be allowed to flake on guys without us making them feel bad for it. Trust me, it will eat at her. |
