I approached an this hb6 today and I used a homework opener. After a while she said I'm really creepy. I maybe have been too serious and a little threatening, how do I soften up without being an afc? After I got the hw I left, to think about where I fucked up. |

Yeah always go right up to a girl and make eye contact when approaching her. Some girls don't mind to be approached from behind. But some girls get really freaked out by it. Next time just use the opener of your choice, make good eye contact, slightly smile when you talk (I say slightly because a big smile could come off as creepy) and have a normal conversation. Should be fine. |

We can't really help you because we don't know exactly what happened. What did you say to her? Were you tense? Did it "Feel" natural? How long did you talk? Did you just gawk and stand around too long before you saw her (thus her knowing you were already awkwardly there?) Was your conversation light hearted or heavy toned? What facial expressions did you express? There are a lot of factors as to why she though you were creepy, but don't be discouraged! We are all in this together! Inform us so we can help you! Also, I always approach girls from the side with an "over the shoulder" conversation starter. This is probably one of the least threatening ways to approach. |

You did two things wrong and both were already mentioned. You approached from behind and you weren't smiling. If you approached from behind but you were upbeat and smiling, she probably wouldn't have thought anything about it. But you did neither of those things, which made her uneasy. If you were frowning, I imagine your body language and tone were equally drab. Perk up a bit man, act like you're having a great day. It's hard to be creeped out by happy people. |

If she says your creepy that just means that you made her really uncomfortable. Even if you are really ugly and sweaty, she won't say your creepy unless you are doing something that makes her very uneasy. Looking into it further, I traced it back to a comment you said "can you be more vague?" which is when she responded that you are creepy. Asking if she can be more vague is an attempt at cocky funny, but it comes across as sarcastic, which girls with low HB ratings will interpret as a neg, and therefore get offended. I don't think you were actually creepy, I think she was just negging you back in retaliation. |
