Hey, What do you say to a guy who has difficulty starting conversations with anyone? I mean, it is common in the community to suggest talking to women in such and such a relaxed and friendly way as if you were speaking to your best friend (I mean, could be with teasing and everything, the point is to be yourself and be relaxed). Now, what if I have a problem with guys too? I mean, I haven't been successful in life at making friends with people and in fact making any significant contact with people in general, so I seem to be socially awkward in many ways, and specific anxiety with women is not what I experience. I seem not to be interested in stuff people usually find interesting, I don't watch TV, I don't play video games, and generally my life is just a mixture of esoteric interests and eccentric masturbation. I don't go to clubs (it's just not the place for me), I don't go to bars (it just seems ridiculous to me to pay so much for a drink) and I don't go to loud concerts because it's just not my thing. It's hard for me to find something to talk about. I did manage to talk to girls and even get them interested in SOME cases (in fact that's how I first and last got laid -- it ended quickly, don't worry), but it was generally work-related and not too spontaneous. I can be quite normal, it's just that I feel I'm culturally disconnected with people and can't find any similarities (and it's not because I'm a new immigrant or something, I lived here my whole life). |

if i were you, i would, whenever in public places, just say hey and smile to all the females you walk by, and i would try to just open a few sets, use a FTC, chat for a minute or two....then excuse yourself. you will quickly learn how easy it is to talk to strangers practice really DOES make perfect! goodluck bro |

If something doesn't come natural to you, then you have put extra effort into doing it. Some people are naturally outgoing and are great conversationalists, others suck at it. But what all humans are capable of doing is being an actor. We put on for others all the time, whether it's to sell a lie or manipulate them into doing what we want. Pick up, for all means and purposes, is just an act. We are actors who play the role of womanizers and gigolos. Mating rituals in the animal kingdom are just an elaborate act as well. Often times they are a performance which invovles dancing, singing, and displaying flashy colors. In pick up we call that peacocking, attraction, and seduction. Routines have been developed to give pua's a "script" which they can use in their "act" when they open sets. They actually suggest taking improv classes and public speaking to help you improve your skills. I think taking acting classes would be good as well, but being a real actor is much harder. Your "frame" or "lens" is just your character's motivation. You just want to be you at all times, but you have to be someone else in order to get laid. That's why you need to learn how to put on this act in order to attract and seduce women and be perceived as a socially proof individual. Ideally, at some point down the road this will all become intuitive and instinctual and the character you are portraying will begin to integrate itself into your own personality and will become completely natural. |

the more you get used to talking to people, the more comfortable you will get, ask them for the time or something at first, then move on to something like "you look like someone on a mission to save the world today" if they look busy! |

I think a lot of people who get into this lifestyle are similar to you: social outcasts with niche hobbies, esoteric interests, different views on the world. That's not a bad thing. You just need to get comfortable with displaying your personality relentlessly to people, and let them either take it or leave it. One of the most common thing's people say about me on a night out is: "you're weird mate". One of the most common complements girls have given me is: "you're weird, but it's so awesome". |

Lots of practice my friend. Have some stories stocked up to be used over and over again. |
