there is a speed dating thing going on in a few days , I haven't signed up yet and am wondering what the pro's and cons of something like that are. should i do it or not? would speed dating be a good way to game considering you dont need to come up with a time constraint, or is speed dating more of a hindrance to game? just asking what you think also advice on the types of girls that are likely to show up would be useful |

Go for it, dude, you should DEFINITELY do it. I mean, experience builds confidence right? What's going to give you more experience than going to speed dating, and meeting lots of women? The entire thing should be great, I mean, they're all there to meet men, so you won't get shot down. Even if they were all HB 4 or less, it would still be worth it, because of what you'll learn from going. |

I was about to start a thread on this, did a quick search and thought I'd just bump this one back to the top instead given it's only a few weeks old. I think the worry for some people is that speed dating has a similar stigma to online dating (although online dating is perhaps less laughed at nowadays). It's really just that society sort of has this idea that you 'should' meet girls either through friends, at work/college or on a night out in a club or bar. Most other methods - such as online or speed dating - are seen as 'desperate' by some parts of society. In reality though, I think speed dating is a brilliant idea for everyone. If you're an absolute noob, then it can help with approach anxiety - you aren't both just going to sit there silently for 3 minutes or however long it is. So it gets you used to speaking with girls; even if at first you feel nervous, it's good experience. And if you're already over the approach anxiety stage, well then you get a good chance to try out some skills with girls and it's a great place to meet new people. Personally, I'd give it a go, I can't see how it can be detrimental to game. And if you are worried about the possible negative stigma attached to it, well who needs to know where you're going? |
