Hi guys, About two years ago I was a relatively okay PUA. Not great but OKAY. I did alright with the ladies. I studied a lot of Mystery Method. I was inspired by reading the book THE GAME. I was desperate to get good around women and to pick them up. I'm a pretty good looking guy and have a good body. Just that I was always very shy around girls and didn't know how to attract them. So that is what got me into reading the game and studying PUA materials. Eventually I got pretty good that whenever I went out I would hook up with a girl (at least number close, quite frequently kiss close). But I wasn't great, very rarely would I F-close. I was very good at opening sets (with practice). I could open just about any set and would get initial interest. Usually I would eventually lose it..... Soon I got into a relationship that lasted over a year. I wasn't practising my PUA skills any more. After I broke up with my ex I didn't game for a few months. Now I tried to get back in the field and I SUCK! I lost everything I learnt and I am seriously back to square one! I am very shy again and can't open a set. Even when I get drunk, I don't have the dutch courage to open sets (it used to be so easy for me!) When I do manage to open a set, I can't manage to build any attraction. I am actually good at making them NOT interested in me! It is frustrating to see so many guys in a bar or club hook up but me. It's happening a lot. I'm the guy that always goes home alone. Even my online game sucks. I can't manage to get girls to get reply to my e-mails in online dating sites. I am desperate to get back into the game. I really want to be able to be a good PUA and attract hot girls but I feel hopeless. Especially, that once upon a time I was kinda there and now I lost it all! Can I please have suggestions on where to re-build my foundation? Is there a book or course you would recommend to someone like me to get back into the game? Also something to overcome shyness and to get back my confidence to approach girls. Thanks, Mark |

Your inner game is fucked up. You don't need to focus on what to do with women, or anything about women. You need to focus on YOU! What makes Mark a person of value? What can Mark do to improve himself today, tomorrow? What does Mark need to STOP doing since it is dragging him down? I'll answer that one. You need to stop being so hard on yourself and so negative. It's okay to have a pitty party every once in a while, but you'll eventually need to suck it up and be a man again. Get you a new frame and just start making little changes. Small chunk it as Style says, and don't be too hard on yourself. |

Quote: Hey Mark! If you re-read your own post, you will know exactly what your problem is: Your Mindset! Hell dude, you even write I SUCK with capital letters so that pretty much sums it up.
Solid advice here! Before you can pick up on your skills again you NEED to start thinking differently, more positive. To shorten this thread i'll post a link to one of my articles on having the right mindset instead so i hope it helps you. http://puatonyking.com/mindset-mindset-mindset/ And i would add the following: Quote: I was very good at opening sets (with practice)
These are your words. And this is part of your solution. You are back at square one? What did you do back then? Right, you started to practice. its like with math or anything else you were good at: once you start 'studying' again, it all comes back to you. So relax mate, dont panic. Let your pride be and get ready to screw up again. Only this time, try to learn more, practice more and become even better then you were before. Let your goal be to get laid instead of going for an LTR. That is a long way to go, but see it like this: you can have all the fun all over again You ask for suggestions on where to begin: i would say begin from the beginning and take the knowledge you gained before as a surplus. hell, you are going to start over again with some very nice knowledge already: your sticking points, your strong points, previous experiences. Mate, that is one hell of an advantage to start over with. Perhaps you had hoped that there is a way you dont have to start all over again. But i suggest you do. Otherwise you will end up right where you left it the last time, and not a step further. Also, we are here for you. Along the way practising, you will encounter difficulties, problems. The community is here to help out amigo. share your experiences and we will share our insights and opinions. good luck and happy hunting! |

Thanks guys- you are all very supportive and I do feel like this is a true community indeed where you all help one another! With a community like this behind you, you can't fail. Since I am going to be starting all over again, what do you recommend I start look into? I know I will start with my frame and inner self. But then when it comes to follow the teachings of a PUA guru, who would you recommend I start with? Thanks.... |

Hey mate, I want to study an e-book/course/book and which one do you think is the BEST to start with for someone who is starting over? Thanks, Mark sorry for the late response. It doesnt matter which ebook or course you take. it is not really so that the book will change you, it is about how you will change yourself. Every book / strat / course has its value and it is how you work with it that will make success or failure. Who do you want to be? Use stuff from many courses to become that person. All i can give you is a book that i found inspiring, actually, two books: radical honesty and mode one. Good luck! |
