Post subject:  Date Tomorrow; What Should I do?
Alright, so I scored a date tomorrow with this chick. We have kissed in the past and there's been some small attraction between us. Haven't seen her for two years though.

My question though is this: when I meet her at the restaurant we're meeting at, should I pay for her since it's our first date? I know Style said know. What do y'all think?

Dinner is just a horrible first date idea in general, I advise you do drinks int he future, diner sets up the provider frame too much plus chicks are weird about eating in front of new guys.

If u like her, pay for her there's nothing wrong with that. Take her to a restaurant where there's something else to do close by such as ice cream, and a walk.

This detox guy just read too much pickup, i've taken chicks for dinner quite often it's a great idea and they're very receptive to it.

I agree. Seem likes Heavy is speaking from experience, while detox is way to textbook. Dinner is fine, is not gonna put you in the "provider" frame if you pay. I have not ever had a girl stop liking me because I paid for her. Main thing is, whatever your doing with her, enjoy doing it. If you have fun, she will.

But if you want some date ideas.
-Art Museum
-Snowboarding (need to know how to snowboard)
-Surfing (need to know how to surf)
-DirtBikes (Only did this with 1 girl so far and would not recommend it because is way to dangerous)
-Go the the Beach and Rent Jet Skies (Very Easy to learn, and really fun)
-Playing Tennis (best for double dates, and it's free for me since there is city park where I live with tons of tennis court)
-Movie Night with friends
-Clubbing or Bar Hopping
-Just going to see a really good movie that's out at certain time.
-Raves (this depends on the type of girls, I love going to them so it works for me)

I completely agree with Detox! Buying her stuff from the get go sets a bad precedent. Meeting for a quick "planned" meeting is a great option because it allows you both to get out of the situation if it sucks, but can be expanded if things are flowing nicely.

I would gladly let you buy me dinner and drinks all the time if I knew you would. Now, if you invite a girl out to dinner then expect to pay for it; however, if you meet somewhere and decide to grab a bite to eat, you have no obligation to pay. Don't be afraid to tell a girl "You get this round, I will get the next!"

Good looking girls can go to a bar and drink free all night because AFC buy them drinks but 99% of the time the girls will not be sleeping with any of those guys!

Your views are a bit dogmatic, too much PUA material. Go out in the real world, date women and you'll find much of what you've read is garbage. PS. buying a girl dinner doesn't always set the provider role, its more contingent on her expectations for the relationship. Often times a girl will insist on paying for her own meal if she's not entirely comfortable with the guy simply because she doesn't want to feel as though she owes him something later (e.g., sex). Actually setting the provider frame is a good one, its our duty to protect women if they feel protected around you they will see you as either a sexual option, and/or relationship material (which is often a good thing as in many instances we actually WANT the girl).

I had to toss most of this PUA to the wayside to become successful with women; most of it hampers your 'game' insisting you be someone you're not. Besides, all the routines and techniques are becoming so common place many women have already caught on. Always most attractive in letting your authentic self shine through; she can accept it or not.

In the end you'll discover PUA doesn't work really. It just makes you feel more confident to approach. You approach and engage more women, obviously you'll have more options. You could have done this in the beginning without reading anything PUA related and would likely have even greater success as you'd be more natural with your approaches and interactions.
