Post subject:  Trying to get to know a girl through FB

I added this chick on fb recently. I don't know her personally, and vise versa. I wanted to stimulate conversation, so I saw that it was her birthday and I said, "I don't know you, but happy birthday!" She said thank you!

Here's where things get blurry:
I was in a I-don't-give-a-fuck mood and I responded with this craft comment:
"Yeah, I was just thinking, everyone deserve a happy birthday even if you don't really know them, plus you know my cousin, so I was like 'why the hell not?'"

What are your thoughts? Redeemable?

Put yourself in her shoes.

1. It's her birthday. She got a shit ton of comments so your comment will probably get missed or won't be given too much attention.

2. She's a girl and gets a bunch of messages on facebook from random dudes. She can see through your attempt.

3. Your comment isn't something that needs a response. Except maybe for an "ah, ok."

This is part of the reason I deactivated facebook. A useful tool, but easy to put too much stake in. I think it's better and easier to attract with in person interactions... easy to look overeager or needy via facebook/texting.

Pickwick hit it pretty well. Best take a few days off, then send her a message with the intention of meeting up. I think building comfort is doable over text/fb, but attraction is best established in person. Gotta sort yourself from the rest of the boys.

What's up man, listen... facebook females is one of the hardest fucking things you can do when it comes to building any type of relationship. Pickwick laid out the number one point in this equation. "2. She's a girl and gets a bunch of messages on facebook from random dudes. She can see through your attempt. "

The problem is you don't know her, and she doesn't know you. The very first thing you HAVE and MUST do is establish a connection. Fortunately for you, a relative is already in.

"So how do you know my cousin?"
