ok so this girl that i met works at a gas station that i frequent on the way to class everyday. started making conversation just because i'm that type of guy but then after a while her bubbly attitude kind of got to me so i started flirting. got the number and kept flirting, she gives me free shit also at her second job (wendys). got her to come over one night to drink and play cards but my roomate ruined his shot at her friend so her friend came in and laid down with us in my bed and didn't let me make a move. after that she was kind of awkward and didn't talk to me as much but now she does again and came over today and hung out. we talked but she had two hickeys and when i asked if she was single she said yes, but she has lots of emotional baggage. played nice guy for a bit to build some sort of comfort and then when we were in my room she said she didn't feel right because of her ex. they have been broken up for a year but they apperently still hook up. she then said they had dated 7 years so he still somewhat mattered to her. so i just walked outside to smoke and she followed me outside and said sorry. i was pissed so i said "i think we would be great together but you need to get your situation fixed. take some time off and think then let me know what you decide" she still asked to hang out but i don't want to be some "nice guy" who listens to her shit. how should i deal with this? |

I think you handled it pretty good actually. You told her up front that you don't want to deal with her unless she gets her act together. IMO that's the best you can do. If she doesn't change from there then it's time to start approaching new girls. That's why were on this forum right? |

You did a whole lot better than 99% of guys would in that situation. Let her hang out with you but absolutely refuse to talk to her about her ex. That should mean you can avoid being the "emotion friend" or whatever the hell that's called. |
