I know the girl is into me, I'm not that hopeless anymore, then they hand me the batten and I freeze up, the conversation becomes stalled and awkward and sure enough either she or I sends out an 'exit' tell and we make our excuses and parts ways, forever. A little background, I first heard about the Game about 4 years ago when I picked up Neil Strauss's excellent book The Game and I soon started practising the dark art. I actually had really good results, but eventually the grind of life got in the way and I let go. Fast-forward to yesterday and a I'm browsing a second hand bookshop (no, I wasn't gaming) I come across non other than The Game. A sign? whatever it was, it was enough persuasion for me. Fast-forward to today and I'm 80 pages in, two girls have approached me since I started (because of new-found confidence or because I have opened my eyes again?). Yet both times I hit a brick wall that has plagued me throughout my life, even during the height of my success whilst playing the Game - I cannot escalate. Here is an example: Me: At the shops, steaming round as usual like I'm on a mission, but a little more relaxed as PUA is on the mind. HB7: Can I help you? (the staff never approach in this particular shop) Me: Yeah I'm looking for ..... what do you think about..... HB7: Obliges, hangs around, restarts the conversation etc... Me: I know it back to me to do something, but I've got nothing, no push pull, no jokes, no kino. Just a huge mental block, literally a wall comes-up in my mind. I say to myself, that's enough, you could of had her, might as well eject now before I embarrass myself. So my question is - How on Earth do I overcome this mental block, that has been with me throughout my whole life? |

here are some ways you can escalate things if you absolutely have not an idea -tell girls you find them physically attractive as well as other reasons why you like them -tell girls you want to hang out with them at some point -go for the kiss when things are going well |

sounds like you need help transitioning. Try asking an opinion on another book/topic. From there just try and keep the convo going then build to a close Carl |

Maybe this will help. I am going to start typing something right now, right here. Guess what? I don't know what the last word is going to be that I am going to type. It happened to be the word 'type'. The point is that you never know what the last word is going to be that is going to come out of your mouth. You feel you want to say something, so just start talking. If you have a block or can't think of what to say, then just say SOMETHING and make it action related. For instance you could say to the girl: "I am going to take you out dancing this weekend." The more real, manly or fun the better. You just have to break the seal. If you offend the girl or if she thinks you are weird or bad, then she will withdraw from you. But at least you didn't choke. If she digs your freestyle, then you know to invest more. Just push it with women. Say something. Make it action related. Keep pushing and keep having fun. Any woman who doesn't like you isn't worth your time anyway. NEXT! I heard one guru say the other day, to start your first few pick ups with something really ridiculous and fun. Crash and burn. Then you can tone it down and be all smooth and cool. First 10 girls you approach don't count anyway. You are the chooser, the selector, the talker. Think of how hard it must be for women? They spend their lives waiting and hoping one of us approaches them. Well, damn, you are on it son. You are doing them a favor. Don't deprive them of their right to be hit on by you. |
