Post subject:  Humility and C&F

So I occasionally come across some things in the PUA community that I find questionable.
My question to you is how much do you value humility, and how do you balance both humility and CockyFunny? Does humility have any place in the PUA community or ever even acknowledged?

Cocky, by definition, is the polar opposite of humble; which is a indeed a nobel, valuable and attractive trait.

Perhaps I am imagining the misuse or overuse of CockyFunny, (hence, I usually use it very sparingly and when appropriate and maintain genuine humility because I do value getting to know the women I am talking to and exploring their minds, rather than only seducing them).
How do you value the two opposites? Both humility and cocky(funny)?
Hope to hear your thoughts.

I've never heard "humility" or self-deprecation being part of the pua arsenal. And there's probably good reason for it. It's a DLV. If it would help to build attraction, I'm sure some pua out there would've found a system to incorporate that into. But as far as I know there isn't one.

However, you can be self-deprecating (make fun of yourself) and make it humorous, which can be a DHV. Girls like funny guys. But you want to mix the humilty in with other DHV spikes so the it seems like you are humble, funny, but still confident and a person with value. Humility alone shows a lack of confidence, which is usually a DLV.

Being humble is not always self depreciating.

When someone says "Congratulations on finishing your project!"
Cocky answer: "Yeah I am a effing superstar!"
Humble answer: "Thanks, I put a lot of effort into it."
AFC answer: "Thanks, I owe it to my co-workers."

In the example above a lot of people would associate the cocky answer with being "Alpha", but in reality a true "Alpha" would naturally be more inclined to use the humble answer. I say this because a real alpha would not need to prove his alphaness to anyone, he would already know what he was.

However, being too humble too often makes you appear to be weak and incapable of taking praise. As ninja says, you need to mix it all together to produce an interesting personality that others will be attracted to naturally.

Peace...

I put a lot of effort into it is not a humble answer. It's a straighforward answer. Humble is downplaying what you did, whereas stating exactly what you did is merely straightfoward.

I read an article on alphas that wasn't pua related, and they said alpha's are naturally confident and often humble and softspoken. Sort of like a quiet confidence. Clearly, not all alphas are like that, but some maybe.

I don't completely disagree with you as was stated when I said "not always self depreciating".

In my view humility is accepting the things you have/accomplish without feeling the necessity of justifying them outside of yourself. The humility in my statement was "thanks" the rest is just casual conversation for the benfit of the offeror.

I do see the point you were making in your first post a bit more clearly now...

Self-deprecation? That is not even a defining quality of humility is.
What defines humility is the quality of being modest and courteously respectful of others, as well as freedom from arrogance, boastfulness, and vanity, etc..

I don't see how such a quality would be an DLV. Especially if you want to attract women who share this value. My view is humble confidence is the way to go as it is the most genuine and authentic DHV.
