Happened last night, and I had no idea what to say. Saw this cute blonde look over a few times when I was playing darts with my roommates. Made my way to the bar to sit for a bit. I feel confident at this bar, I know most of the bartenders, the manager, the owner, the bouncers, and my roommate works as the DJ on the weekends. Anyways, her friend orders a drink next to me, while I'm talking with my other roommate about a girl he is hung up on. The friend gets her drinks, and then the blonde sits next to me with her back towards me chatting with other people. Eventually she turns herself around to face towards the bartenders, and she is fairly close to me. Close enough to where we rub shoulders/arms often, and she even leans back into me when they were taking a picture. Unfortunately, my AA took over and I didn't speak to her. This is the worst part of my game, I have no problem talking after I have been introduced to someone, or if they open me. But I have a hard time thinking of openers. I am probably putting too much emphasis on the opener, but for some reason it is my weak point. Any idea what I could have said? I was thinking something along the lines of "What brings you girls out tonight?" or "What do you think of *bar name*?" because this bar just opened not too long ago. Anything else I could have said? |

What was she drinking? I always pay attention to what a girl orders at the bar! If it is something off the wall or colorful, I use that to open. "Hey, what is that drink called?" She replies and I ask, "what does it taste like, is it any good?" She replies and I say, "Hmmmm maybe I will try one of those, but if it turns me gay, I blame you!" then smile and hold eye contact. If she keeps eye contact for a few seconds and smiles, then introduce yourself and Bam, you are in! Peace... |

Anything... Literally, anything can be used as an opener. Well, okay, within reason. The problem is with you overcoming your fear of opening. Once you do that, knowing what to open with won't be an issue because anything works. |

Anything is better than nothing! I don't care if you said "Hi I have a small penis but I'm a nice guy" remember anything is better than nothing. |

A good opener at the bar is to use a prop like a trick coin. "The bitten or folding coin" is a favourite of mine after I saw David Blaine use it. Modify the trick by placing the coin on the bar in front of you were the girl can see it and stare intently at it. When the girl looks to see what you're staring at stretch the coin apart with your fingers.
