Hey guys, starting out after reading the game etc I tried out lots of chat-lines/routines etc. Asides from breaking the ice, I found them almost counter productive as I began to overanalyze social situations even when I was out in the bar / club with my buddies. Has anyone else ever found routines to be almost counterproductive and leaned more toward natural game as a way of being? I found myself more at ease taking a more natural approach. |

When I first got into game, I was all about canned openers, because it opened up my eyes of how easy it is to chat girls up if you have something little different to offer. But a lot of times if you are not natural, and you have some indirect openers, it may or may not lead anywhere, girls are these just for your interesting company. I've never really used full on mid game routines, but doing somethng like the cube would probably get her really interested in you. I just find it difficult to memorize long lines and then remembering them in loud environment. |

The difference between canned routines and natural is the place that it comes from. Reciting lines comes from a place of neediness because you're expectant of her responses, you're hoping for this magical line to push you through and magically seduce her. Where as natural game is a part of you, it comes from a place of impulse and expressing yourself is the most beautiful thing in the world man. You're not expectant or her response, you're not in your head and you're just enjoying being social. There is no magical line that will push you into having success, it just doesn't work like that. It makes you socially inept because you start seeing something that is so natural and fluid, to be mechanical. It ruins it. |

The important thing is remembering the purpose of things. If you just memorize lines then if you use a line and nothing happens you are lost. If you remember the purpose of the line, then if it doesn't work you can try something else to create that purpose. Having an overall strategy and stages in mind is more important than any particular line. |
