| Post subject: | Need answer ASAP - texting a girl |
Ok, so I just texted a girl I met last night (who told me she had a boyfriend, before giving me her number, but I figured she was bullshitting as girls do). Anyway, I just texted her today about how we should go for coffee, and maybe Dave and Busters (like Chuck E Cheese for adults, with beer and stuff) if she's awesome. She responded with: "Well like I said I have a boyfriend haha" What should I respond to this? Should I just fold? Should I send her funny texts? |

"Cool! Bring him along!" Never hurts to make new friends, either. |

It got thornier and I don't think in a good way. I made several sarcastic jokes to her over text, she seemed to dig it. Then she goes silent for about an hour, hour and a half. And then she says she really loves her boyfriend, he puts up with her shit and he's a good guy... and then she invites me dancing with her at 1:20 AM (I was about a 15-30 minute drive from her so I declined) and gets upset and says I "pussed out" when I refuse. She also seemed intoxicated. I may be reading this situation incorrectly, but to me it seems like she's really into me, thinks I may be a better match for her than her boyfriend, feels guilty about this, but still wants to get to know me in a way that's as guilt free as possible. Does that sound about right to you guys? If so I may want to step away from this, I like this girl, but that's a lot of drama and pain for people. |

first of all, give her more plausible deniability, change your mode of communication from text, to phone, so she has less incriminating evidence 2nd of all, consider what your goal is, is it to be her boyfriend?, or is it to have sex with her?, what are your intentions? now when guys get this ''I have a boyfriend'' shit, why do they freeze up?, cause they are not sure of what they want, the have no idea of what their intentions are, it is not clear and certain, she says ''I have a boyfriend'', you give her that discression so that she has plausible deniability, no text evidence, not within earshot of her friends or anyone she knows, and you let her know, you want to get with her, not her boyfriend, and you are willing to keep it a secret, that makes her guilty?, she starts telling you how awesome her bf is?, don't disagree with her, don't diss her boyfriend, just agree with her, and change the subject ''yeah, he sounds great, I still want to see you'' don't get distracted from your goal, focus on the task not the distractions she puts in your way, if she is truly interested in her boyfriend like she says, she will not meet you, simple as that, the rest of her explanations and objections are just ways for her to justify her actions later to herself so that she feels you are to blame, you are responsible, she told you XYZ but you didn't listen, you just kept going after that pussy and eventually she gave in, not her fault (even though it is *lol chick logic*) -keep things secretive -don't judge her for being a cheater, or being sexual -lead her and take the responsibility, make it your fault |

Yea I did the "oh he must be fantastic" and that's when she was like "yea, he's great because he puts up with my shit" and then the invite to dance. I'm going to play this by ear, maybe arrange a "chance" meeting to dance tonight |
