Post subject:  What does this girl want?

I'll make a long story short here:

Last year in college I met this girl who I became close with. I told her I had feelings but she clearly didn't like me that way or wasn't ready (she was still on and off with an ex at that point). I decided to stop talking to her but she kept popping back in my life, adding me on IM (she never ended up talking to me) only for me to keep deleting her time after time. The deleting part probably wasn't a good idea because it showed I still cared but I guess I still did have residual feelings for her..

Anyways, she just posted on my facebook timeline saying "hey, how are you :) when are you back? we should meet up for coffee!"
I told her to inbox me her number, she did and is trying to start conversation with me.

I really dont't get her. Maybe she really does JUST want to be friends but I don't think I can do that b/c I know I'd get feelings back. How should I approach this situation?

be careful about revealing your feelings. i find even 'friends' can lose respect for you if you are too much of an open book.

perhaps learn to control these feelings over this girl. i understand where you're coming from though but understand that our emotions are biological and are very strong, overwhelmingly so in fact but they are not who you are. you must rise above them and learn how to control them around women and not reveal how you are feeling too much too soon.

also by not revealing too much you become a little bit of a puzzle and an enigma and apparently women like a bit of mystery.

p.s. - i believe that religion and God (apart from controlling the minds of masses) was also invented to allow ourselves to let off steam and reveal our feelings without losing respect. i am sure it is no coincidence that as societies become more secular cases of its inhabitants neuroses also increase!

Meet up with her, act through your own intentions.

Get physical, kiss her. If not welp, looks like you two just friends
