| Post subject: | Would a cleaning job affect my chances? |
Hello members, this is my first post here. I am currently working in the I.T(information technology) field for my occupation but hate my job. I have found a commercial cleaning franchise that I might consider purchasing as my new occupation. The question is how will job choice affect my chances at long term relationships i.e marriage? I am concerned because the better quality women might not want to be with someone who is a cleaning for a number of reason including: - cleaning will indicate lack of ambition which will make women think I don't provide enough security - it's a dirty job - it's a low status job - the cleaning stereotype is someone of below average intellegence The job I have won't affect my ability to pick up women because they won't know what job I have until after I have picked them up. But the longer the relationship lasts the more my job will be a factor. How will a cleaning job affect my chances with women in long term realtionships? Cheers Jeffrey |

In this economic climate a job is a job. Why would you want a long term relationship with a girl who is with you because of the job you do anyway? |

Don't worry about the job! if you game a girl good enough she will want you no matter what job you have!.... also whenever you do have to tell her what you work as just tell her straight out that your a cleaner, you used to work in I.T but didn't like it and the cleaner job was going so you took it and actually like it! That's my advice anyway! Synth. |

Not unless you make issue of it, don't ever justify what you do. scenario one: Girl: So what do you do for a living? You: I clean houses, I love it!! while other people sit in a desk all day I move around, stay in great shape, its the best job I have ever had. What do you do? scenario two: Girl: So what do you do for a living? You: Im a cleaner....but I'm only doing it to save money so I can go back to school, it sucks I know but it pays the bills. Girl: oh....nice See the different? Why do you give a shit what others think? If a girl is not going to date you because of your job then she is not the kind of girl you want to be with. Women care about passion and confidence not your pay cheque. Stop caring what people think! I am a personal trainer, the pay is decent but nothing eye opening, I have turned down jobs with a salary which are double or triple what I make now, I just turned down an opportunity to possibly make over 100 grand a year and you know why? because I LOVE what I do! I live a breath it! its my passion, it makes me happy! and I love my life! I have a great life and I know if I took that job making amazing money I would be miserable! I would be sitting in an office 60 hours a week for the rest of my life. Right now I live on my terms! I have no one telling me what to do or how to live my life. |

Let put it this way I make around 35 to 40 g's a year at the moment, not bad but nothing crazy, and I have dated nothing but 9's and 10's, my current gf is gorgeous! she is highly educated! honours in psychology and she is continuing on her education, she might very well make 4 times what I make in a year....do you think she cares? hell no! do you think I care? hell no! If she ever wanted to be with a rich guy I would tell her "ok go ahead there is the door" You know why she is with me? because of my passion for life, because I am fun and we have fun together, because I am the best guy out there! They don't make guys like me very often lol If she wants to leave me for some douche who make six figures she can go ahead. |

Never thought IT would be a bad field to be in, but I guess to each his own. If you buy the franchise then you are a business owner, and you're golden as far as I'm concerned. They ask, "What do you do?" You say that you own your own business. They ask what it is then you say "A cleaning franchise". Use the word franchise, it sounds more professional. What's nice about that is people won't really be curious as to what a person who works in cleaning does, it's self explanatory. If they do, just tell them "commercial cleaning". Again, it sounds more professional. |
