So, I have had a major problem for the last year and I have no idea what is happening or who I should go to for advice.. Now, this isn't a "help me!" thread, it's just me looking for advice on the way my moods or just general feeling towards life is. I am 18 years old and have finished high school. I have noticed that I have stopped caring about many things when it comes to having a social life. Many times I have shut down, or even ignored people who have approached me to talk to me. For example, I went to Wasaga beach with a couple of friends of mine and was at a party there. While at this party I was approached by a girl who was obviously older then me and drunk. She invited me out to dance with her and go to a bar, and all I did was look at her and say "I'm to young for you." don't get me wrong, she was quite attractive but.. Meeting new people seems to be hard for me since I really don't care about them, or make much of an effort to get to know them. In the past, I used to be such a nice and chatty person. I was never afraid to meet new people or make new friends, but now it seems I've changed. Is this some sort of social anxiety? Or have I become a very bitter person. I am willing to change this, since I want to be able to be social, and gain new friends since I will be going off to college soon. Does anyone have any sort of advice for this? |

Go do something fun, rock climbing, kayaking whatever and meet someone who likes doing that and start hanging with them |
