So I've got a house party coming up that me and my mate are going to, he's got a girl there who obviously likes him and he likes her so he's sorted for the night. I've got my eyes set on this girl who we get along all right but haven't had a good chat for a long time. Recently she's been getting on with this guy who is obviously got his eyes set on her too, he's a nice guy though but I can tell that he would just get in the way of my game with her. I don't know what I should do in this situation. Because usually I would show interest in others and try to be the "life of the party" and not bother with her until she approaches me, but if I did this then she would obviously be with this other guy most of the night. Any help is appreciated, cheers. |

Be yourself and act the way you would be if she wasn't there. Make her a side thing sort of like a supplement to your party. Then show her some interest and if she's not reciprocating neg her and deprive her of your attention. This should make her work harder for you. When the other guy see's it he will start getting jealous and working harder for the girl which will make him look needy and you confident. There we go situation solved. |

When you worry about your competition, you give them power. Girls who are taken cheat all the time. Married women. Girls in relationships. Girls who are merely dating. Are you really going to worry about a girl who isn't even in a relationship, but might be getting attention from some guy you know? ALL girls are getting attention from ALL kinds of guys. The first step to distinguishing yourself is not caring. The average guy cares a lot. He won't approach a girl at all, because he doesn't want to lose out to the other guy. Others will go after the girl way too hard, as if to say "look at me! please! look at me!" They're desperate, and she can tell. If you don't care, you'll (a) be able to approach her, and (b) be able to walk away, have fun, talk to other girls, and generally seem like you have a lot going on in your life. That will make you more attractive than most of the guys in her life. |
