Hey... So, I'm taking this university course that involves a lot of home-studying. You have to attend it ~ once a month though. Now, there is this girl that lives a couple of hours away who asked me whether she could stay overnight at my place for the days you have to be present there. I tried to hook up with her until she told me that she was really currently pursuing someone else who hardly ever calls her or wants to see her. No big deal, I mean, there's plenty more fish in the sea... Then she wrote me the classic "I see you as a good friend and am not sure whether everything is still ok between us" e-mail which REALLY PISSED ME OFF. She did that out of the blue, I never e-mailed her, texted her, NOTHING. I'M F*** PISSED. I mean, who does she think she is? She could've written me "You're not a man and I'm gonna tear your f*** balls off" -- would've been more honest and straight-forward at least. - Pretty much told her that she was of course the only princess on the entire planet worthy of being stared at and asked her whether she even double-checks BS like that before she sends it. She then asked me whether she could still stay overnight, if not in my roommate's bed, then maybe on the couch... I haven't replied to that so far. I wouldn't even follow up on BS like that. Thing is: she's in my study group, and I will be stuck with her for some time. I need to handle this in a diplomatic way if I don't want to come across as offended and hurt. How could I possibly tackle this? Cheers, me. |

Why reply at all? You can just be formal and polite to her, as an acknowledgement of "all's good" between you two. Sometimes, change is all people need to see in order to realize what they lost. And what's a better way to show that things have changed through your actions, rather than your words. If she seeks you out, just give her a perfunctory smile and an "Everything's fine". Afte which, exit from the situation at the earliest. The flipside is that she might start chasing you, since this behavior is similar to the " someone else who hardly ever calls her or wants to see her ", she is currently pursuing. |

Thanks, EXACTLY my point. But since we will still have to work together I need to somewhat still be on good terms with her... and I do NOT want her to run around telling other students from my course that I maybe "sexually harrassed" her (I of course never did that, just put my arm around her shoulder and more rather innocent kino like that; - - - but you NEVER know what women are up to). Now, she asked me whether she could spend the nights in question at my place again (since she lives further away). How can I tell her "Gee, girl, book yourself a hotel!" without coming across as hurt / pissed / REJECTED?! [I was REALLY thinking about telling her something along the line: "Well, if you do wanna spend the nights here for free, you're welcome to sleep in my bed" (a king size bed) for a while, but that would just come across as inappropriate and crude.] STUPID B****, TELLS ME I SHOULDN'T BE DISAPPOINTED THAT SHE ONLY SEES ME AS A FRIEND BUT STILL WANTS ME FOR MY APPARTMENT WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?!!! Cheers me. |

Well, thanks for that MIND-BOGGLING revelation.and you said yes maybe when she said "i need a place to stay" she actually meant "i need a place to stay" not "i want to sit on your face" idk though It's just that there's no point in having her around at my place for me any more... She DOES get a little annoying. How do I break this to her without sounding sulky? [EDIT]Sorry for the crude tone of my previous posts. Never drink and write, I guess... |

is she that bad? or are you just feeling butthurt because she proactively friendzoned you? either way, if you don't want her there, just say the following: i'm sorry, my girlfriend doesn't like other girls staying at my place, and she is going to be there that night. |
