As in "us", the people that get into it? Also do you think that those with higher narcissistic traits are more successful? I think that the level of self involvement that it takes to better yourself to the point of consistent success in game is quite extreme - and there is the emphasis that if something doesn't go right it is because of something YOU did wrong. You see a link? Or am I just a narcissist who just so happens to have game? |

I'd say "closet" narcissists will be the most successful. That means they aren't outwardly arrogant but still think they're the shit. And I definitely think that learning pickup increases someone's narcissism. I've caught myself staring at myself in random mirrors at the mall far too many times now. |

Well, it is true that you need a lot of self-involvement and self awareness to become successful because you do need to be constantly analyzing your behavior and ready to change your habits when you begin. Also, narcissists will already have internalized that they are the prize rather than the woman, so they will have less of a problem with seeming needy or clingy than many rAFC's. I guess they also have the advantage in getting one night stands. If they are obviously full of themselves or visibly treat the world as revolving around them, a woman will be more likely to see them as "not boyfriend material." She doesn't have to worry as much about him thinking she's easy because she wants a second date. She doesn't care as much about her emotional connection, and will be more likely to just enjoy the ride for the night. |

It has a connection similar to that of policemen and eating too many donuts. There is an increased risk that you are gonna reinforce such behavior but it is far from all of them that do it nonetheless. |

showing a bit of cockiness and self-worth is ok (we all are a bit narcissistic a some points), as long as you don't overdo it and end up with a severe case of narcissistic personality disorder |

Agree with the replies above. People who take it to the extreme and just want to control people are narcisistic. But if you just want to improve yourself on one area of your life that's important, then that's actually pretty healthy I think. |
