Post subject:  What To Do

Well on Friday me and the girl I like went to hang out. This is the third time we hung out in two weeks. We went to Newbury Street to walk around. We had a good time, but the only problem with that was that at times I would get quiet and other times she would do the same. Later that night we went to Fridays with two other friends. Me and her sat next to each other and things were good. Once again we would talk, but at times I would fall silent and other times she would do the same. My friend told me that I need to be consistent doing one thing. He said I would talk and then talk to her throwing little hints and vibes letting her know that I'm into her, then I would just fall silent. My best friend and him said she kind of did the same, but I don't know if she likes me like that still. I like her, but I don't know if I want to ask her out because we have a good friendship and I don't want to damage that in anyway. She is known to blow some things out of proportion. Also, I don't know if I should start dating right now. I am going to boot camp in March next year and I will be somewhat busy with my recruiter and stuff.

You sound young by the post. I think you should just relax, and remember silence isn't always bad. When you are with your friends is it awkward or bad when you get silent, no you dont care why is their social pressure in one instance and another.

Just appreciate the silence and then point something out or be spontaneous and be like this place is boring lets get out of here and have a more meaningful and emotional experience. Go on a walk ask her personal questions that lead somewhere and are not boring like so what u do today and shit like that.

You need to figure out what it is you want from her before your next move. If you have an unclear defined objective, how do you expect to get from point A to point B?

I am 20 sorry for not mentioning this earlier. It isn't really awkward once I fall silent, but depending on how long I am silent, they will start asking me what's wrong or what's in my head. I do at appreciate the silence, but sometimes when we are both silent, I feel like I am boring her or turning her off in a way. I will try to keep the conversation going. It's hard to tell if she has any interest in me though.

Was that quote towards my last sentence stating I'm unsure she's attracted to me or the sentence of me saying when she's silent, I fear I'm boring her or causing her to lose interest? Sorry for asking.

Always assume attraction, then work from there. Why shouldnt she be attracted to you, you are a sexy ass 20 year old, fresh outta school and ready to fuck like a rabid hare.

Thanks for the compliment and advice. A lot of people do compliment me. She does too, when I dress nice, since she usually sees me in dress clothes.
