Post subject:  Battle between 2 alphas?
Last night I was at a house party and like any other situation, my top priority was establishing Alpha. Heres what i did

I knew the two birthday girls who were hosting the party, so i made a good entrance, going in with a smirk and introduced my crew to the girls, and the girls to the crew. Then I talked to a few HB's, smoked out a few dudes and made some followers, and pretty much established my Alpha status soon after.

Later in the night, another dude came in, and to be honest, he was more Alpha than I was (I'm no ones bitch, but I will give credit where credit is due). Everybody knew who he was at the party and people respected him. He's well known in my hometown just for being him.

Although I was "the new guy", our status' were pretty close since I knew most of the chicks, and had drunk dudes telling everyone how cool I was (which was a huge bonus when i began working the field).

Overall, I lucked out big time since i had the mystery factor going for me and I made a good entrance where everyone noticed me, but my question is:

How can I maintain/establish Alpha if theres a greater Alpha present? What are things I can do to keep my status or rise to Alpha?

Was it a problem this time? I dislike the competitive aspect of PUA theory sometimes ... I get the feeling the unacknowledged "Alphas" are the ones who know how to pursue women and do it without giving a fuck about what other guys think. But seriously, if you're both so cool, why not become friends? As long as you keep your self respect, it seems like two people with such strong identities and self-confidence would actually have quite a lot in common. I believe PUA literature usually emphasises making friends with "Amogs" anyways.

stop competeing with dudes, and start trying to sleep with women

you don't have to be ''the alpha male'' to get a girl to sleep with you dude,
high status = attractive
low status = unattractive

lets use highschool social status here as an example to how being the ''alpha male'' doesn't matter, although you should strive to be the best you can, you don't have to be THE BEST, to make something happen, if that were the case almost no guy would ever get laid, there would just be like 1 guy in every city that gets a line of women outside his door on the daily

alpha of a low status group = the guy that played magic cards in highschool and was the best at it, gets mad props in his social circle for being some pro online gamer kid, gets called by his buddies to play video games outside of school, meets up for yu-gi-oh tournements, doesn't get laid

beta of a high status group = isn't the coolest in the school, but runs with the most popular clique, still goes to all the best parties, still gets laid, still is likely to have a girlfriend

if the guy is cool to be around, just hang out with him, it will be fun, make a new friend

don't try to be better, just be you, bring value, if you are better, awesome, who gives a shit, it's subjective, just try to bang the girls you like and forget about being better then people, by default following your ego into your own head will lead to reaction seeking and needy behavior, this will lower your status cause you will suck more when you are in your head, plotting and schemeing of how to, when you should just KNOW at all times what you are doing, this will kill the fuck out of your charisma

You should have teamed up with him. Girls rarely go to parties on their own so a bit of teamwork and wingmanship would have created even more attraction.
