I'm dating this girl and there's an job opening at my organization for which she has applied. I know if I put in a good word for her, she would get this job. She is really desperate for this job as she fears she might be fired from her current job.

My question is, "is it a good idea to work with someone you are dating, I am kinda serious about this girl, we have a good thing going on".

I was thinking if we are going to be seeing each other everyday for 7-8 hours, it would kill the attraction, besides she would be working very closely with me.

What do you guys think?

What I've heard from others is that you shouldn't "eat where you crap" in other words you want to distance professional and personal life as it can cause alot of problems and conflicts of interest.

As a human being, I'd get her the job even if we were to lose interest, because she needs one and you can always get another girl if it doesn't work out.

I was with my long-term girlfriend at university on the same (intense) course, and then on a 9-5 work placement. DO NOT DO IT. It never goes well, you both carry the same stress around and can end up taking it out on each other.

Don't eat where you crap is great advice.
