Post subject:  Speak loudly without getting a sore throat?

I have a pretty soft and weak voice that I find myself shouting in the club most of the time and can no longer speak after a few hours with a sore throat. Some friends of mine however can speak loudly and clearly in club for many hours.
I wonder how he does that? Is there any way to train my voice or can it be changed at all?
Thanks

As a singer, I have to use my voice quite a lot and have had this problem. Your voice is a series of muscles. Like any other muscle, if you want to build it, you have to work out. And if you want to work out without injury, you have to warm up. Practice vocal exercises every day and you'll notice your voice becoming stronger. Warm up before going out and you'll find you won't pull as many vocal muscles. Put Bret Manning into youtube to get started. I'm too new to post links.
