Hey all,

Situation is as follows: HB8 lifeguard from camp and I have been chatting lately and I think I'm feeling a bit of a vibe from her, a few definite IOI's were spotted. Started light kino today with good results. Even though I'm pretty sure this one's in the bag, I'd like to be critiqued on my text gaming, I became a little worried after reading that great post on text game mistakes seen here:

Here's the convo:

Me: Help! I've fallen into a puddle and I need rescuing!

Her: I save you! Hah grab my hand!

Me: It's too late! I'm dead. Add another kill to your record.

Her: Noo!! My life is over! I didn't get to save you :(

Me: Feel free to join me via ritual suicide! Btw party tonight is at [address]

Her: Don't kill yourself! (this is her misunderstanding my joke) Okay I have no idea what I'm doing tonight. Thanks

Me: Obviously you're coming to this random party!

Her: Hahah I guess. Are you going to go?

Me: It's looking that way, my other friends are doing a game night tonight but I'm more in the mood to par-tay!

Her: Ah cool cool. So hopefully I will see you there :)

Me: Hells yeah, should be a blast!

Overall, I feel like I did pretty well, however I know there's always room for improvement and I am the furthest thing from an expert in this field. So please, let me know any suggestions you might have, thanks!

Hey man,

I'm no pro either, but heres what I think. Convo started off really good. Was fun and playful, and you for sure got a good smile and a "wow this guys unique" feeling from her, so props on that.

The only thing I'd say to keep an eye out for is the "Obviously you're coming to this random party!". It makes it a little too obvious that you wanted to see her that night(although I don't know what the conversation was before this, maybe she already agreed to go).

Also when you say your other friends are doing a game night, it kind of sets back your sense of value. You should want to be with your friends on game night, and they should be begging you to stay. So instead make it sound like your too cool for this party, but you made a commitment that you were gonna go and that it should be cool (also shows value because you're a man of your word). I'm not sure exactly how, but I feel like there should be a way to get her to beg to come to the party instead of telling her to go...

As I said, I'm new to this stuff too... Just thought I'd give my opinion.

Not bad at all. Loved your opening line. That was perfect for this girl.

A few things:

"Obviously you're coming to this party" sounds needy. It sounds like you really want her to come. Not so good. Something really nice would have been, (since she couldn't save you),

Her: Noo!! My life is over! I didn't get to save you :(
YOU: It's cool, you can make it up to me tonight at [address]. First drink is on you ;)

I think your energy level in your texts is too high (LOL energy in texts).

If your texts were real words coming from someone's mouth, he'd be the hyperenergetic guy shouting "Par-tay! Par-tay!" Instead, stay calmer in your texts. Be dominant but calm. Smooth.

Also, aim to end texts first. Let her send YOU the final text. If you don't respond it keeps her wondering, "Why isn't her responding?" and it looks like you're too busy to respond. If you send the last text it shows you have more interest in her than she does for you.

Just some nit picks.

i liked this conversation. You've definitely built some comfort with this girl and you played the whole thing perfectly. Did she ever go to the party?

Totally agree with you - especially considering I HATED missing game night with my friends. I'm not really sure what possessed me to lie to her here, I guess I couldn't think up anything better than "I'd really rather hang out with my friends than you, but I want to get laid more," at that time.

To respond to that, I didn't actually type out the whole convo because after this she starts asking me questions about directions and it didn't seem relevant. Incidentally she did send me the last text and it was "cant wait!"

I definitely need to tone down the energy, I've always got a high social energy and I know I can go overboard sometimes.


To cap off the story, she did come to the party. She arrived drunk out of her mind, embarrassed the crap out of me, spilled wine all over herself and puked in the hostess' bathroom. I took her back to her place anyways :roll: and she was the worst kisser I've ever been with, and fell asleep before I could f-close.

I should have played pictionary with the friends instead.

I'm LMAO at your party story! I sure hope you have some better luck next time. :lol:
Props on the opener. And I actually thought that in this context it was ok to show some intent.
