Some quick background. Known this girl for 5 years through work, we became friends, nothing romantic as we both had long term significant others. That changed for both of us about 9 months ago and we stopped working together. More or less straight way we hooked up and it was obvious we both like each other. Then I f*cked up, made every mistake in the book, told her how much I liked her, tried to make her like me as much, was chasing her, and basically got to the stage where she gave me the "let's be friends" line. Knowing how much I messed up but still liked her I more or less cut off communication totally, we went about 3 months without talking. Last week we happened to bump into each other at a mutual friends birthday party, awkward at first, but then she became really agressive, firstly being angry that I had stopped communicating with her, and then trying to kiss me. I didn't let that happen and avoided her the rest of the night. Next few days she starts texting me, "last night was fun", "was good to see you", "we should hang out" etc. So I'm pretty sure I've gotten the situation into a better place, just not sure how to proceed from here. I still like her, but I'm not sure I'm strong enough to keep playing the game if we actually do start hanging out again. |

You can tell a girl how you feel about her, but... "you have to make sure she likes what you're saying." Too often guys think only about how they feel when they confess their feelings. To often guys are needy, "needing compassion, needing sympathy" when they are confessing their feelings instead of pleasing the girl. Just talk to her and monitor how she feels better, moving forward. |
