| Post subject: | Reaching the Hook Point |
Hey guys, I approached two sets last night (my 4th and 5th sets ever). I've read "The Game," "The Mystery Method," and have seen all 5 of the Mystery CD's. Now, Mystery says that it's the talkative guy that gets laid. Well, I haven't been having the best time with that. So my first set was sitting down when I approached them. I made sure to open over the shoulder and body rock during my opener. My opener was the "is it cheating if a guy has a box full of ex gf's pictures and love notes" opener. The obstacle appeared to be much more receptive than the target. After we were done with that, I threw a FTC and body rocked away but then said "Do you guys believe in ESP?" and ran the ESP number guessing routine. I made sure to focus on the obstacle more. They seem skeptical but a little interested. I ran the routine but couldn't guess their number. After, I said some stuff about nature and numbers and stacked forward to the "How many 9's are there between 1-100." While I was revealing the answer, I sat down next to them. After I showed them the answer, I felt like they were like "Okay..." and didn't have much to say. So I exited. I didn't feel like I was actually using DHV material and instead was just being a slightly interesting but pretty weird guy. Note: My neg game still needs work, so I didn't neg once to them. I approached another set, but like this one, I didn't feel like I reached a hook point after performing 3 routines on them. The set I approached were actually friends of a friend, so after I approached them, I introduced myself. My friend asked them "What did you think of my friend?" and they said "Talkative and weird." What am I doing wrong? Edit: I forgot to mention that this was in a mall, and they seemed pretty low energy. |
