Texted this girl I really like that I will be working/staying in Maryland (she lives in VA) this week asking her if she wanted to come up for dinner one night and her response was:

Maybe maybe

That can't be good...I didn't respond yet. Don't know if I should or what I should say. I want to show her that I am confident and that she should be dying to come see me, but this definitely isn't a good vibe. Ideas?

I don't think you can tell from that response if it's bad or good. It all depends on voice tone which you don't have. It could be said avoidantly or with a lot of flirtation. So you have to keep talking to find out more what the real feeling is.

Just another example of how important nonverbal communication is. It's by far the majority of the message.

What's her personality like?

Is it her style to be a smart ass? Is she non-commital? Much of this has to do with where the answer could lie...

Then again, you could call her. "Maybe maybe? What's that shit? Now, dinner's on you."

Her personality is real adventurous and exciting. She likes spontaneity and people who are different.

I don't know her to be much of a smart ass, but she is definitely being one with maybe maybe. She's the type of girl who needs excitement in a text b/c shes hot and gets chased by many dudes.

I just need something to write to her that will make her realize that im the f*ckin man and that maybe maybe shit wont fly, all in a joking manner. ANy other ideas on a reply?
