So I thought it might be helpful to explain why I friend zone guys. When I meet a new guy I look at him right away and I consider: 1) Attractive appearance- If he is too attractive to me I become intimidated and think he is too far out of my league proceeding thoughts: -too good for me deserves someones else -can I hook this guy up with a friend? -use him for social status(if my friends see me hanging out with cool people such as "X" I will develop a social higher value Attractive personality-(things I get jealous of like how good he longboards, funny, nice and warmhearted) proceeding thoughts: -too good for me deserves someones else -can I hook this guy up with a friend? 2) Unattractive: does he have an interesting personality? Do my friends like him? proceeding thoughts: Friend zone 3)Good friend: -I don't want to gamble our friendship and good times -My best friend, Joey, I tell him everything and he really helps me through problems like stress and boy troubles. I would never risk losing that. I can't speak for all girls but I can for myself A lot is due to my lack of self worth and confidence(remember I am an AFC here) -kopykat |

And what if the guy who you thought to be out of your league shows persistent interest in you? Do you still friendzone him because you are afraid later he would leave you for a better, or do you give him a shot? |

Just had this happen to me. Met an attractive guy and we started hanging out. I kept telling him that I think he deserves better and that I just want to experiment this Summer (I was in a rampage from just having gotten out of an LTR). However he continued to show interest and convinced me that he wasn't like other guys. He only went for one girl at a time and went for personality. So my fantasies started and I began to believe that I was throwing away a really good guy just because I thought he was out of my league physically and that he deserved better. So I let him kiss me and we are just letting things roll. It is a huge confidence booster to me to get someone I thought had no chance with. |

I love post like this that give insight to how females think. Thanks KopyKat for join the forum and sharing your prospective on your side. Just like how guys get insecure about themselves, the opposite sex might have the same or more insecurites. I hope its all going well with your new guy. |
