Post subject:  Picking up girls at school
Hi guys, I'm in my senior year of high school, and I have never had a girlfriend.
I followed the "Walk around the mall say hi to every female" thing, a few girls ignored me, few gave me a weird look, but 80%ish of them replied hi.
So, I'm a really shy guy, which is why I am afraid to approach girls. Whenever I see a "hot" or "cute" girl in my school, I am afraid to approach them/don't know what to say.
In my opinion, if a girl is in her friend group, and I randomly go up to her and say "Hi my name is ____" she would be creeped out a bit. If the girls aren't in any of my classes, how should I find the opportunity to talk to them? Should I talk to them for the first time on Facebook? I'm also afraid of girls being scared off by me, randomly adding them/starting a chat. So what should I do?

Edit: When I said hi to every girl at the mall, I wasn't really afraid of them thinking I'm weird, because chances are I will never see them again. On the other hand, if girls at my school think I'm weird, then I will have to put up with her rumors, stories, weird looks, etc.etc.etc.

Or for a more PRACTICAL approach, just be a man and approach any woman you see unapologetically. I will admit, considering I was in a frat that was associated with this sister sorority of thee hottest girls on campus, getting laid was incredibly fucking easy. All it required was escalating in the slightest, social circle comfort did the rest.

Personally I think you first got to work on your inner game before you attempt any "game" what-so-ever. From your post i can tell you're a natural introvert, a shy dude. So we can give you the best advice on the globe of how to be the High School Don Juan, but if it isn't congruent with you it's pretty much all for naught. So heres my two cents.
I think you should concentrate on building your confidence (doing the newbie challenge is a good start). You should also try to step out of your comfort zone once or twice a day, do something extrovert'ish (lol i dont know if that's a word)
It is very important to note that introversion is not a pathology to be fixed, but a natural and healthy personality trait. That said, it sometimes can be convenient for the introvert to foster the ability to emulate extroversion.

and when you have that natural un-canned confidence, you won't need flashy routines and openers to conquer High School.
