Well I figured this girl had a thing with a guy, I wasn't sure, but I have been using my own direct text game on this girl.

So I was being flirty she was being responsive etc.

So here goes import part of convo:

Me: Do you have a boyfriend or anything? Your cute :)
HB: um, I sorta do! haha
Me: Aw thats cute anyway (I acted like I don't care and waited with a long time restraint)
HB: hahaha. maybe
HB: We are not dating though. haha (1 minute later)
me: ok cool we will hang out soon and does that mean we need to keep us a secret?
Hb: what the fuck, no. I am not going to do anything with you or like you in anyway

Is this straight up rejection or a major shit test?

How would you respond to this? I do not want to become total AFC and take a bite and ask her out now, or is that just a continuation of being direct?

I am rather new to this.

i would say something along those lines i guess cause i like to be a bit more direct rather than beat around the bush for a while, but its really all personal preference.
Try to be congruent with who you are. Just text and dont care about it is what it comes down to. Text whatever the hell you want and just keep playin with it. Just don't keep playin around the same subject over and over. That's really the only thing that i feel is bad to do. Like i used to be like ok we'll hang out soon. And then keep going with that same topic for like 5 texts, and they would always stop txting back. Be interesting, spontaneous, unpredictable, all that good shit haha.
So ya txt her back whatever you want, we can all give you ideas that seem amazing but after this txt your gunna have another, and another, and another, you gotta do it on your own =)

Yeah I also agree the boyfriend opener wasn't great.

On the plus side, you would most likely pass her 'sh*t test' by assuming your going out sometime rather than asking her.

An if she does bring the guy up again for whatever reason,
Just play it cool and aloof, and whatever you do make sure it seems innocent enough. She needs her hamster logic to tell her that it "just happened" and its not her fault, since she already told you she had a boyfriend (seperated from her bf or whatever)
