What do you think would be ideal for a first date with an 18 year old? Movie or dinner? |

Definitely not a movie, you wanna be able to talk. Not dinner either, too formal and "romantic" and could put a weight of expectation on the end of the night and create awkwardness. Go for a coffee and then take her bowling or play pool or something fun, she's 18 years old for goodness sake. Movie or a romantic meal are what everyone classes as dates, she'll appreciate doing something fun and different. Make sure you can convey your personality and focus on giving her a real great time, try and escalate and maybe get a kiss but don't leave it so it's a big MOMENT OF TRUTH at the end of the date. End the interaction first and before things can peter out to an awkward silence. |

It wouldn't get awkward or anything I have known this girl for a bout six years in school and we just graduated...I already asked her out to dinner and she was pretty ecstatic about it but she said she was goin to the beach later that day so she needs me to get her back in time...which would mean it would have to be lunch so I guess I could change it up. But if I ask her for coffee it will just seem to casual cuz me and this girl chill every now and then. Idk maybe I shoul ask her to go bowling |

Before I start, let me tell you that I am 19 year old. Movie... Cinema or at your place? Have you ever hooked up with this girl? If not, you should consider getting some alcohol that could maybe lower the tension a little bit? Keep in mind that you HAVE to at least kiss her. And since you've known her for 6 years, you are probably in the friendzone. Therefore, alcohol could maybe help you get out of that friendzone. I would not recommend going to the cinema with a girl in any circumstance. Typical, boring, (insert negative term), AND you can't even talk or really escalate. However, if you were talking about watching a movie at your place, this is gold. You could also do what the other guy said, or anything else. You could even pick her up, and decide with her what you want to do at that specific moment. Improvising! One funny and unorthodox date is the "walmart" date, you could find it somewhere else on the forum. Personally, I also have a date tomorrow night. I told her we would go play pool for a bit (but that can change, depending on my mood) and then go watch a movie at my place. So basically, my date is= Pool and movie. But is it really only that? Maybe we could stop for a coffee before going at the bar, maybe we could go eat something instead of going at the bar. When we get home, maybe we'll decide to go for a midnight swim before starting the movie? And in all honesty, I'm pretty sure we won't even finish the movie. Afterwards, we'll go in my bedroom, and I'm lifting her back the next morning. See what I did? There's no specific thing you MUST do in a date. Just do what you both want to do. Unless you have a reservation, you can switch plans whenever you want! |

Well movie is pretty much out of the question now since I already asked her out to eat. Movie at my place wouldn't work because I live in the boonies 30 miles out of town! Honestly, it could be a friend zone situation but she really does seem like she likes me a lot. Like a was just calling to set up a date and I was about the end the convo and she ended up wanted to have an entire conversation with me. She is leaving for the beach later that day, so now I'm wondering what I should change it to, since I had a DINNER planned I only chose a place ideal for DINNER. This girl really wants to hang out with me so what's something fun to do in the middle of the day in north Florida |

I just don't take them to the movies because its fucking expensive! If I spent $7 on every girl I dated, I'd be fucking POOR as fuck. I did take out 2 girls today to Chernobyl Diaries. Yes I'm dating 2 girls at once currently. You can go to the movies if you are dating more than 1 girl at the same time, but otherwise for one-on-one stuff, you can seriously kill it if you take her to the movies. Might as well take her to a presidential debate. |

Do whatever you want. Walk around your local area...doesn't have to be special. It SHOULD be about you two. Get ice cream and share it. |

how about your place? if you drive at 60 mph you'd get there in 30 mins. personally i would go for a game of pool. much more relaxed SPAM plus most girls cant play pool which means plenty of chancecs to give her some help, if you know what i mean. standing close behind her, long, phalllic pool cue in hand, balls on the table...if you're lucky she won't make it to the beach.. |
