| Post subject: | "The Game" - worst thing to happen to this community ever?! |
As I look around there have been an increasing number of posts of guys saying that as soon as they run material, the girls just call them on it because they've read it in 'The Game'. Even if you don't use this method, the book still contains a lot of things that PUAs do, for example, the false time constraint. Even how you act, the "cocky/funny" approach will be revealed. This book may even be made into a movie and then every girl out there will know how we pick up and why we say what we say. Even if you're not running a routine, girls will be even more guarded and hostile than they already are. I may just be acting paranoid so I'm interested to see different viewpoints about this. Will it affect us as PUAs or not? |

you know when you think about it, it is pretty weird that there are billions and billions of people in the world, and the population seems to keep exploding, I wounder how babies are made, what if girls catch on to our tricks?, if we get caught trying to sleep with them, then what?, will the human race die out? you have a weird train of thought man, you should relax, if you are trying to run routines or use something from that book and you get ''caught'', just fess up and tell her you thought she was cute and wanted to try the ''game'' on her, it could lead to an interesting conversation what do girls have to be hostile and guarded about?, some guy interested in them sexually?, do you even realize how downright silly that sounds?, imagine if you found out girls were reading a new best seller about how to entertain guys so that we would be more likely to allow them access to our dicks, and then you caught a girl trying to entertain you with the tips you heard about, you would get so hostile and pissed off, wouldn't you? cmon now... |

Hmm, the Game is just one way.. There are 100s of other ways to pick up girls .. Instead of being the same as most of the people that read the game, understand the theory instead of studying canned lines or routines. Be creative and be your self instead of trying to be Neil Strauss! I enjoyed reading the game, and to be fair I'm sure that not only me but many others realized that many things written in this book we already did without thinking about it anyway. |

Yeah you're right guys. tbh i dont really use that much of the material from books. i just didnt like the idea of the option of being able to use the material being taken away from me haha. i guess it's all mental masturbation in the end |

I recently read The Game after a friend mentioned it to me, and it was the thing that inspired me to start living the PUA "lifestyle". I do have to agree with crowdude, in that the book revealed many "tricks" that men have started to use to get women into bed. The way I see it is that as long as you keep expanding your own knowledge about pick-up and practicing ad developing your own methods, then you will still be able to out-game the women. |

ok cool, well lets go over what the point was, what happens if girls catch onto the game?, absolutely nothing, the game has nothing to do with if a girl will fuck you or not, the routines have nothing to do with it either, if you actually go out with 1 other person, you will see that both of you can say the exact same shit and get completely different results, if a girl wants to fuck you, chances are she just wants to fuck you, some guys are un-attractive, physically unattractive, lacking in confidence, needy, lacking in social skills, while others project a good image and are confident in what they do, some are in-between and have different areas that need work or different areas that are strong, the idea that if girls catch on, your magical panty remover is now gone is ridiculous, chances are if you find a newbie who is into pua using mystery method he doesn't even know how to do it properly and more or less never gets laid at all but rather cock blocks himself, this is because MM is complicated and often alot of theories and concepts get misconstrued and misunderstood (negs and active dis-interest anyone?), even when he gets to point of actually understanding how all of a1-3, c1-3, s1-3 work, he will realize being more confident himself is far more likely to result in getting the girl, then using MM, assuming he has actually practiced the method and it showed him that he can use really cheesy lines and girls will still talk to him anyways, girls just like sex if you can just master being honest and not hiding anything, it will do you a world of good, mystery method by it's self is sort of like teaching a half decent outline for social skills for people that don't have them, and once you get good at them it doesn't mean you will be fucking everyone you talk to, sure more people will like you, but at the end of the day, looks are a factor to if someone wants to sleep with you or not, and good social skills do not = confidence or ability to escalate/sexualize, a girl with big time options is not even going to consider a guy she views as a 4/10, no matter how good the personality, that is the brutal truth, why would she?, she has alot of other options with good personalities that are not unattractive to her, but the point is if you learn good social skills, a different girl across the room will think your a 6/10 when the last girl thought you were a 4/10, looks are subjective, ''value'' in general is subjective, that is the problem with this, ''the game'' is my secret tactic to fuck every girl mentality, it reflects that you have some reading going on, but no doing, pua is just learning how to present yourself in a way that gives you the best chance possible, nothing more and doesn't guarantee anything

When did I ever say I rely on the material from 'The Game'? As a matter of fact I don't really rely on any material alone because I haven't read any in great detail. I never said that the girl that you're going to hit on is going to be hostile. I meant the entire group in general. If a girl is in a group and you try to call her "cute", the group is most probably going to reject you. That's when I rely on MM or the game, when I have to befriend a set correctly. At the bars/clubs I go to there are guys hitting on girls all the time. It might be because I'm at university though. But yeah, I've done many cold approaches because it's the only way I meet new girls as I don't previously know anyone here. |
