Hey guys, I'm moving to a beach town in Long Island NY to work for the summer. I'm going with my best friend so i'll need to make a few more friends out there. Any steps I can take to get social as soon as I get there? |

Smile. Talk to everyone you interact with. Cabbie, cook, doorman, janitor, co-worker, bank teller, store clerk, coffee shop hb.... and try to show a genuine interest in them. Have fun. Keep smiling. |

Use your friend to make other friends. Talk to everybody possible. Establish a social circle. That's probably the best way to make friends fast. Use the social circle to continue meeting people. |

Here's something I did... You don't have to talk to the cabbie, the doorman, the laundry lady, the fucking grocer. You don't unless you are TRULY this socially akward. Like you never had friendly interactions YOU YOURSELF established. Have you ever made a friend out of your OWN intent or did they COME TO YOU? Ask yourself this DEEP INNER GAME QUESTION. IF YES: FOCUS ON GIRLS AND GAME. IF NO: THEN YOU CANT IGNORE THE CABBIE, THE DOORMAN, ETC. BREAK OUT OF YOUR FUCKING SHELL. |

A real easy way to make friends is to go to a bar/club/whatever, find a group of guys that seems cool. Go talk to them for a minute or two and then go approach some girls and pull them back to the group and push of the girls onto them. They will love you after that. Cliff notes: - Introduce women to guys. - Guys will then love you. - Repeat as necessary. |
