| Post subject: | Query on Style's method, featured in The Game |
In The Game, by Neil Strauss, he accounts his amazing pickup on an 11 named Heather. The pickup that he claimed was his official transformation from AFC to PUA. After building some attraction, he wrote, "Now it was time to back off my game and fluff a little." I'm not quite sure what the basis for intentional fluffing is. Does it fit into a particular method? I thought he may have been referring to comfort in the Mystery Method, but even that doesn't really involve fluffing. Does anyone know the basis for his intention to fluff? I just thought it was a bit confusing. Thanks |

It fits into Style's approach, which is my approach... I don't give a fuck how to categorize strategy. I give a fuck about learning the woman's subliminal and nob-verbal signs. I read her, and make my game on the fly as I'm doing it. Learn human dynamics, learn WHY she's saying something as opposed to what she's saying. I've learned as much as I can from reading, etc... I start reading something and it's like "Damn, that's pretty good shit!" an d I'll act on it, open sets using it, etc... and I'll field test the shit til it's incorporated into MY game. That's the secret - build your own game, and KNOW your own game. Some guys are cavemen, some are dancefloor dogs, some are daygame whores (that's me), some are hired-gun killers... know what works for YOU, and adapt accordingly. Who's method it is, matters little - how you can incorporate it into your own game - that's the real stuff. RR |

I think I know the Heather story from the Game by heart. I was like you frantically reading it word for word trying to find Style's secret. Few years have gone by and I now know what it was all about. And that's this: Ask yourself how many sets did Style do before that one? What has he pushed himself through to get there? How many times? After you go through that process yourself you become a man that all Heathers of this world want. You'll have your own Heather story one day if you push yourself hard enough. And it will have nothing to do with Style or his routines and any of this shit. It will be about you, and you will know that you deserve it. Till then, fght and push through. |

After reading "The Game" one thing was clear to me, before even approaching my first set: Following his, or Mysterys method is not for me, but still reading it helped my game, or helped me into it. Styles personality comes across through the way he writes, you see how he sees the world and the people he deals with and one gets a strong impression of what kind of man he is. He´s intelligent, educated, humble in the right way and truly respectful. This man doesn´t just love women, he loves the world and allit´s inhabitants with all their vices and mistakes. Learning the ways of PUA just gave him the tools to unlock his personality in a way that he was enabled to do something he couldn´t before: Convey what a truly likeable guy he is to women. He developed inner game over time, became a man that believes in himself. It is the core of it all. To me inner game is understanding and accepting who you are and what is good about yourself. Outer game is nothing but successfully communicating this. That´s what I´m working on, what I´m aiming for. The "method" you follow is totally unimportant if it helps you achieve this goal in my opinion, as long as you learn and adapt. It is indeed true that pushing on, leaving the comfort zone is crucial. It will teach one about oneself. Knowing who you are is what it all boils down to. In a world as fast-paced and superficial as ours there´s nothing more attractive then that. If taking Styles path, transform into a social robot and then back into an individual works for you, fine. What matters is that in the end you are yourself again. The amplified version of it! |
