Lets say you are teasing a girl and she says something disrespectful just because she thinks its funny...

(also your profile picture, you shouldn't want to deserve her, you should wonder why she should deserve someone as awesome as you)

I just usually blow it off with something random or funny that makes fun of the girl, but not in a offensive way;
her: "I only like that you're pretty entertaining"
me: "oh how cute is that "

You just can't show that you're affected by these things; and NEVER respond with disrespect back, it NEVER works and only makes you feel bad later for hurting her feelings (and of course she wouln't go further with a guy who's just disrespectful)
also just generally be the alpha

The usually feels like compromising myself, because if a regular person disrespected me I would say something mean to them. If a girl does it, it always seems like I wondering am I going to go too far and blow this...

The shit test to me always seemed like a dilemma. The choice between pride and pussy. If you chose pussy you dont get pride and you don't get pussy and if you chose pride you don't get the pussy.

Responding to a perceived slight by someone with meanness is a sign of insecurity. Meeting their lack of respect with indifference is a far more potent reaction. Doing the same towards a shit test garners the same result.

Understanding the motive behind a shit test and the choice of acting either confident and humble, or being non-reactive has nothing to do with being a "pussy", in fact doing so is the anti-thesis to being a pussy. Your dichotomy of pride vs. pussy therefore makes little sense.

1. Its not about insecurity, its about respect and an honor. You don't let insults go whether they hurt you or not. You make that person pay a cost for their behavior so they are timid about doing it again...
