Post subject:  Are her and her friends playing games with me?
I was on a run, and caught this HB8 checking me out, approached her and flirted for a little bit then gave her my # before going back to my run.

She didn't text me until about 2 hours later and here are the texts from her. All are within 2 minutes:

11:01 p.m
"Yo, ___ the runner, whats yo last name?"
"Whats your favorite color?"
"How old are you?"
"Where do you live?"
"Can we hang out now?"
"What color eyes do you have?"
"Boxers or briefs?"
"???????"
"??"

**I was busy and didn't reply. I don't think I would have really had anything to say to that though***

1 hour later:
HB: Dzaaaaang u can't even text me
HB: Dzaaang


10:47 a.m
Me: "Haha, idk, those are some pretty personal questions and I only just met you while I was running...but I'm 47, i have 3 kids and live with my mom. And boxers or briefs? Fuck that, I go commando ;) "

11:26 a.m:
HB: Oh wow hi....



That is it. I'm new at gaming, and this really threw me off. I didn't expect her to text me, so was excited at first, but once all the texts came in, it threw me off.

I'm suspecting that when she got home, she told her friends about me, and they decided to mess with me, hence the random questions. At least I have her (hopefully her) number now. What can I do to swing this in my favor?

As in just ask her all the same questions? I thought of doing that, but if I was just the center of the joke with her friends, wouldn't that just keep the frame?

But if returning fire I wouldn't use the same questions I would think of equally retarded or more retarded questions.

I was hesitant to do that at first because for some reason, I don't think it was her texting me that. Can you guys think of why she would? Just having fun?

I replied with:

"If we are playing 21 questions, its my turn."
"Coke or pepsi?"
"Whats your favorite shape?"
"Shaven or Hairy"
"Whats your favorite tree?"
"Thongs or panties?"

Depending on her response, I am going to try for a date tomorrow. I know she runs track, and she lives right by the track field on campus, so I am thinking of saying later tonight:
"You. Me. Track Field tonight @9. I'm about to smoke your ass. Best bring your running shoes."

I like it man. You played along so if this wasn't a joke with her friends, you show your wit. You tell her to meet you, challenge her and I'm sure any time shoes are mentioned it's a good thing. Good work bro keep us posted

Idk what went wrong. It seemed like she wanted to meet up when she said I'll find out. Did I creep her out with the thong joke? Or come off too needy by all the texts? I was feeling so good about this one too. And damn, she is a cutie. Oh well, it was a good learning experience I guess.

Any advice guys?

In early game you should probably let some stuff drift off as a mystery, like not tell her if she asks which answers were good. When she said "You'll find out". Leave it at that.
She wiill feel that there is something different about you.

Just a question for my own amusment would you waste her in the race?

That was fucking weird. But yeah, too many texts. 1 text, wait. If she doesn't respond, another text the next day or after.

Remember, every text you send needs to be of VALUE of some sort. For example:

HB: Coke, square, depends, apple, thong
HB: that was my friend who texted you last night
ME: And here I was thinkin you were being the fun one...
Me: You mentioned you run track right? Could join it to the preivous one.

Just being picky, but too many texts screams needy. It should ideally be the other way around.

The panties of thongs was pointless, too. As you can see she didn't even refer to it anymore. Shoulda dropped it.

But yeah, it seems like this is over. But give it another shot in a few days. One text. If she responds, good.

When you say it was fucking weird, are you referring to the entire conversation or the fact that she didn't want to hang out?

When she said she doesn't actually run track, I thought of just calling it a night, but then thought that would come off as just giving up. When I initially approached her, I was confident and just walked up to her, so I wanted to maintain that frame. Should I have just said:
"Alright, I'll talk to you another night than."

Honestly, it could have gone either way. I used to run track, and have always been a fast sprinter, so chances are, I was going to kick her ass. I just wanted a nice race though, to see where I stack up now. Didn't really care if I won or lost, being out there with her would have made me the winner already.

So is this really over with her? I was feeling so great about approaching her and getting a number, which I never do. Why would you consider it over? I didn't mention this, but I did ask her out at 8:50pm and expected to see her at 10, so maybe she was honestly busy already.
