Hi guys (and girls?),

I'm quite new to PUA, I've been reading The Game by Strauss and have been working on a couple of the techniques mentioned in it (e.g. the 3 second rule) with a reasonable amount of success, in terms of being more relaxed and calm, not had many numbers yet though.

However, there's a barista in Starbucks that I want to approach but she is always busy and I don't think I will be that effective in striking up a conversation with the aim to get her number.

I'm thinking about writing a note (not sure what to put on it except my number :-)) and passing it to her when I get my coffee next time and hopefully she will call me, does anyone know of a better approach?

I made a similar post last night about this...except mine was a girl who works at a gas station/store, which is always real busy..leaving only the 30 seconds to a minute, at the cash register to talk considering there is always a long line waiting and in a hurry.... Coffee shops are usually the same..Good amount of customers at any given time, and usually fast paced and busy. Therefore, I think that the direct approach would probably be best in these places.

Tell her you think she is cute, and you want to see what else she has going and get to know her....She'll either go for it, or decline...In which you can either take it with some cocky/funny come back(s), or just leave it at that and move on..You should come off like you just want to be friends, since neither of you know eachother.

Basically, you want to telegraph interest in getting to know her..but don't want to come on too strong..you don't want her to feel like some stranger is pressuring her into going on a date...don't even look at it like a date. As yansaccnt mentioned on my thread, "You are telegraphing interest. Just find a way to tell her to hang out with you sometime. Make it sound like its not a date, so she cannot say no."
