So yesterday i went shopping wearing a band tee, which i knew would stir up conversations. It worked, to an extent. Perfect example of this would be: i walked in to a store, HB sales woman comes over "do you need any help?" "Not really, just looking. Thank you." A few seconds came and went and she says to me "when did you get that shirt?" We went on for about 3-4 minutes about this band. I could tell i already had the door open for more of a conversation, but wasnt sure what to say next. A few seconds of silence passed and she of course said "if you need any help let me know." My questions are: 1) How do you transition from an opening about something like in my situation to a conversation which could lead to results? 2) Just in general with HBs who are "on the job", what are some good ideas to get the ball rolling on conversations and how to transition them? |

Say "you should go see them with me!"

Indeed, very easy actually. Don't make a big deal out of it, act as if it is the most normal thing in the world. She'll think of you as a very open, outgoing and fun person. From there you can number close and arrange a meeting.

Say "you should go see them with me!" This works... unless said band is no longer around or touring. I do like it though. Any thoughts on my second question? 2) Just in general with HBs who are "on the job", what are some good ideas to get the ball rolling on conversations and how to transition them? |
