The title pretty much says it all.

How the hell do you PUA stay sharp at any given time and in any given situation?.. This is really embarrassing because I frozen when a HB8 open me. Ya.. Here's what happen.

Today I went out to get a haircut at my usual place where I hardly ever seen any cute chick there. Mid way though my haircut this HB8 came in, my heart jumped when I saw her. I looked at her while she was scanning the place to see how busy they were(which it wasn't at all busy). After she gave her name she sat down and waited for her turn. Throughout my haircut I creep her ever so often. She was quite cute. Specially in a pink sweater in a rainy day. As I walked up to the register to pay, my back was towards her, she said 'She's very precise, if it was me you'll have bold spots all over your head'. I was caught off guard(wouldn't have done much better with my guard up)! I ended up mumbling 'ya, that's why she cuts my hair *smerk*' and finish my transaction. I took a quick glance back and saw her a little upset. Not sure if it was just me, but seems like she wanted to be hit on. Now that I think back, the pink sweater in a rainy day must be a sign.. Anyways, as I was walking out, I looked at her as she was looking up towards me. She said 'Have a good one' which was unexpected. I thought all I would get was a smile. I reply with 'you too' and walked out.

Extremely sad story... I wish I could have done more... I just froze. Wasn't expecting to a cutie in a place like that nor was I expected her to open me. I feel so... Useless. It's been almost a couple months now and I still haven't #close. I'm so frustrated!

Anyways, if anyone could help me prevent this tragedy from happening again please let me know!

I realized what is happening to my game. I think I'm trying to learn too much at once. Half assing everything so nothing gets done... I feel I need to pick a good PUA and study their methods and after I got their logistic I could apply my. After I get successful I'll branch out to other PUA master and learn other method/game plan. Anyone got a suggestion of where I should start or who I should follow?

Thanks a lot you guys.

Sounds like you're being too outcome dependent with the focus on a #close in x amount of time etc.

Your experience today was more helpful than half reading 600 ebooks. You know have an area to improve, which gives you a focus.

As to staying sharp all the time, I'd say it's impossible. No one will be at their peak 24/7.

Improving your general overall level of sharpness is doable though. Meditation, enough sleep, exercise and nutrition and looking and feeling your best before heading out the house are all great ways to start.

Lockdown:

I'm not focusing on #close, it's just seems that #close is the first milestone. I do feel I learn something in today's encounter but I don't think I'm learning from all my mistakes. My buddy gave me a sample of what he would have said. 'Sounds like you need more practice. Lucky for you, my hair grows really fast. Give me your number and I'll give you a call next time I need a haircut'. To me, it does sound like a good come back, but we had time to sit and think about it. What I want to get to is quicker reaction time. Even if I get caught off guard I could get my head in the game quicker. Can I achieve this any other way other than being out and about?

I gave you a list at the end of my first reply, those are all proven to improve mental clarity, what else are you looking for? A technique?

If it's a technique or something you're after rather than inner game and science then off the top of my head...in all future scenarios where you notice an approachable HB think up a canned opener in your head in case you want to use it...

See how unrealistic that is though?

PUA most become a way of life for you. it cannot be just a switch you turn on and off in your head. It has to be some that is consistently part of your life and you practice it on a daily basis, just like your profession, your religion, your sport...the more you do it the more natural it will be. You can't just do it on friday night and expect to be good. Do you think Michael Jordan or Mike Tyson or Tiger Woods just practice once a week or few times a month...its consistent. When you're consistent you will be a pro.
