Post subject:  Ask out girl in my class?

Hi all, first time poster, blah blah blah. Great to be here.

Okay I wondered if I could get some friendly advice. I've been at university for almost two years now, and just got out of a long-term relationship so I am single for the first time in those two years. There's this girl that I'm pretty interested in and have technically known for the two years, but I've said like three sentences to her in that time so don't think I've been majorly friend zoned.

Bit about her: She's kind of shy and a little nerdy, but really friendly, pretty and a lot of guys like her.

So this week I've only seen her in lectures but done little thing like high-five her when she gets a question right and today I chatted to her and her friends for about half an hour before a lecture; I negged her a little but not too much and I made sure to pay at least equal attention to her friends.

For some reason I have her number - I think we all exchanged them like when we first started 2 years ago. Now in an ideal world we'll be clubbing at the weekends where I know I would be fine, but exams are just starting so no one's going to be going out much for at least a month. I was thinking I could use that to my advantage and maybe base something around a revision session or something? I'm just not sure how I can do that in a way that does not telegraph too much interest.

Any advice would be great. Thanks guys!

I say just go for it...

Personally if you negged her it seems fine. I would talk to her friends way more, maybe flirt with the ones not as good looking infront of her the most...stuff like that.

Thanks man, we always have a 20 minute break between lectures Monday morning - I'm thinking of talking to that group and doing the flirting stuff you suggested. Then maybe after the lecture asking her if she has any revision session plans?
