I just moved to Saigon, and while the deck is stacked in my favor in many ways (as a white guy), the biggest hurdle so far has been gaming girls that don't speak much if any English. My C&F is mostly lost on these girls. Sure, they can tell when you're being confident just by your body language and tone of voice, but part of the culture, I think, is to not allow themselves to "play along" with such a high energy approach in any situation that isn't like a bar or a club. Too much English usage can also have the effect of intimidating them.

I'm wondering if anyone has any resources or experiences to share on this subject.
