The well known expert when it comes to compliance is Robert Cialdini, author of Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion. Cialdini has three techniques to get compliance.
- 1. Ask for a big request then retreat to a smaller request. For instance, "Give me $100". She says, "No." "Okay then, give me $5 dollars because I ran out of change for the taxi." She says, "Okay."
2. Ask for small requests before the bigger request. When she complies to the small request, then she'll get used to it so she'll have an easier time to grant your next but bigger request. For instance, "I want you to smile because it's my birthday today." She smiles. "Thank you. Can you please hold this flower while I take a picture of you?" She takes the flower. "Make a cute pose. No not that. Make a sexier one. There. Thank you. You're heaven sent."
3. Get her to commit on something then ask for compliance on a related thing. For instance, "I think you're a very adventurous person. Are you this way since you were a kid?" She says, "Well, yes. Blah, blah, blah." "I'll go to a zip line this Friday. Come with me because I want to show you some great view."
