My biggest weakness is my family. I am a family oriented person so whatever happens to them will affect me. I have found that this is the biggest weakness in my confidence. My father never taught me to be a man, and I have adopted his shitty ass coping ways with dealing with problems. |

Find positive role models. Enroll in community center program for example where you'll be exposed to positive male role models, go volunteer somewhere (helps finding a sense of belonging and building efficacy) If the situation is bad at home perhaps moving out should be considered too |

go out with friends, try to get distracted. at a young age sometimes there just aren't things that you can do to solve problems in the family (specifically between parents a.k.a. grown-up problems). about 2 years ago my parents were in constant arguments and they lasted about 2 years, they already had divorce papers processing and everything, my house was a war-zone pretty much, it was horrible. obviously I tried doing things to try to stop it like talking to one parent in private and the other, many tears were shed but it did nothing to stop the problem. when it comes to certain things it's up to your parents to decide what will happen. To get things off my mind I would just go out from my house, go out with friends, try to be home-free for a while while still dedicating time to each family member in private. then last semester I decided to go study in a different city and I wasn't exposed to things back home at all, my mind was completely occupied by other things. I just came back home from college and well my parents are talking now and are perfectly fine now so sometimes they do manage to fix problems themselves.. but like I said if you really want to avoid these problems and get them off your mind either , 1) go out with friends 2) go study in a different city. best of luck . |
