Just got back from a second date with a girl. I took her out to the hills for an outdoor picnic under the stars. We ended up walking into the nearby golf course and walked in the dark until we reached a nice quiet spot. I said "let's sit down" and she said "yeah, or we can even lie down. might be better" I figured that was a good sign considering there was only a little bit of touching prior to that. We were lying down really close to each other and I put my arm around her. She got closer and rested her head on my chest. Right after that though, she said, "I move really slow. I thought it'd be better to tell you that now. I really need to get to know someone before I do anything." We stayed like that for a while and kept talking and she had no objections to getting close like that. Could that statement about moving slow be a sign that I'm in the friend zone? She is somewhat shy and reserved so I was thinking it could be that she really does move slow, but could it also be that she just sees me as a friend? |

Sounds like she wants you to be more confident and escalate things.

I've actually received that same statement not long ago, after my 2nd date didn't end with a K-close. I didn't take it as a sign of friendzone, I just realized I need to stop relying on her to escalate and just do 100% of the escalation myself. I did this and got a heavy makeout on the 3rd date, I'm positive I'll F-close soon. Just say it's alright and keep going. |

It just means: Dont move too fast, she is interested and wants to get it going but not such a high rate that she is gonna get scared. Basically, the light is green but there is a speed limit. |

you should have responded by giving her a kiss on the lips and then say "i completely respect that" with a smirk and then go back into your position. |

Hey guys. I have an update for this and I'm reeeaallly confused. I don't think I mentioned this yet, but I'm 26 and she's 22. So after getting people's opinion, I was feeling pretty good about this girl also. People here seemed to think she was interested, as well as everyone else I asked. Today though, things seemed like they went to shit. I saw her twice this week; both times at our gym. I saw her on Monday and today (Wednesday). The date from my post was just this past Saturday. On Monday, she seemed shy but still wanted to talk to me. Today, I hugged her upon seeing her, but she didn't hug me back. She also seemed like she didn't want to talk. I figured she was just having a bad day or that she's shy at the gym. She's hugged me before at the gym though. She left before I did and barely smiled at me as she left. After I was done with my workout, I hit the showers. When I got out, I see a text from her on my phone saying, "Hey. I'm sorry if I have been coming off rude at the gym. We should probably talk soon. Give me a call when you have time. See ya." Obviously, this sounds like she wants to give me the "let's just be friends" talk. Honestly, I'm really confused about this since these two days at the gym were the only interaction we had after that picnic date. Everyone that I asked about the date seemed to think she was attracted to me. I was as detailed as I could be about the date and left nothing important out. She even had good body language the whole date. Any idea what this text is all about? I'm not sure if anyone could give any insight on this, but this thing really surprised me. I really don't know what to make of it. |
