I tried to do this last night. It was tough! I learned a few things. When I learned that when I concentrate my face changes. Then when the girl sees me she quickly looks away. I never got a hi or a smile back. From a distance I got bad looks and up close girls looked away. But I am going to try again next sat, during the day. |

The hell are you talking about? Did you actually talk to a girl? If not, YES, sitting in a corner leering will get you some bad looks. |

It's hard to tell exactly what you're talking about, but it sounds like you may have just been looking around staring and smiling at girls. In my opinion I don't think you should smile at a girl until you've had a few separate sets of eye contact or a few solid seconds of it. If a girl just happens to catch your eye, and you're smiling already or do it immediately, it could come off as a bit creepy. Be sure she gives you the IOI of multiple eye contacts before returning one with a smile.

Ha! So it looks like I didn't explain it well. For instance, I was coming out of the metro and I saw a girl in the distance. As we were approaching each other our eyes met and I smiled and said Hi. She gave me a bad look. Other times the bar girls and I would walk past each other and I would say hi. They just looked down. I think I usually get better responses. I think I was concentrating so hard that I was frowning...a big problem for me! So I have a question. I'll do this again next week during the day. Do I go up and say hi and see if a conversation starts or do I say hi as I walk by? |

Saying hi is a great way to start, but it won't take you very far. You need to talk more.

Ok guys did it again during the day at the mall. It was tough, but I learnt that if you are more confident and smile, it gets easier and fun. The trick is to get into that headspace. Need to find how to get there and stay there. Also when it was done I took the metro back home. Saw girls and wanted to open on them right there. It was like the mall was an assignment, but now I want to go up and talk all the time. |

one step at a time. Just don't stop. It's a long process. |
