So, I started talking to a girl that I met on campus. We exchanged numbers, and playfully texted over the next few days. I was talking to another girl, and I told the original girl that I was talking to someone other than her. I may have made a beginner mistake, but I have always felt girls love competing over a guy. Her response was basically, "Thanks for being honest, and I am kind of talking to someone else as well. He brought me flowers the other night and has won over my family." *She did say he has asked her to be exclusive on two separate occassions, and she said no both times. Now, my phone game is incredible. I really know how to talk to girls on the phone. (I am worse face to face for some reason). I remember after one of our first conversations she sent me a text right after we hung up saying, "You are such a cool person." Well, anyway, we had plans for this weekend, and she said she was tired and didn't feel well and needed to wake up early to take the GMATs. Obviously, I can take that at face value, or assume she blew me off for the other guy. I may have been over-complimentary to her, but I think it's what she wants after she had a rough relationship with an ex. She sent me a text after I gave her some advice saying, "you are truly an amazing person." Did I blow everything, or am I okay? Can someone give me some advice on how to seal the deal here? |

Sounds like this "guy" doesn't exist. Her response to your comment sounds like she was jealous and making shit up. Why else would she say "he won over my family"? But then say he want's to be exclusive but she doesn't want it. Either he is fake or some guy she is not interested in. I think she was thrown off by your comment and is playing the jealousy card. Don't you know that lots of pick up stuff is based on what women do naturally to men? |

From my experience, this is where you lost her. This is not entirely your mistake, there are girls who will be pissed, but wouldn't cross you just yet. This one did get pissed of because she liked you and wanted something to happen. And then she crossed you. There is probably no other guy, but you're not gonna get a second chance. There is nothing more you can do with this girl.

She just told me she isn't pursuing a relationship with the other guy. What's my move? I feel like there is a 60% chance she is lying. I don't really care either way, I'm just trying to have some fun with a hottie. |
