Post subject:  "You're Not My Type"
I've been hearing this a bit lately.

What do you think "You're not my type" really means? I don't believe in "types" because I believe that's a middle school thing where we used to separate people by the clothes they wore and what cliche they were in.

Coming from someone with confidence issues because of a big nose, I keep thinking "You're not my type" truly means, "yeah sorry you're not attractive to me."

It means "I don't want to fuck you because of one or more of the following:"
- You haven't built enough attraction
- You're not confident
- Your social skills are inadequate
- Your social value is not high enough for me
- Your face/body doesn't turn me on

Without knowing you or your personality it's going to be extremely hard to say for certain. But I use the line when I'm not interested in a girl who likes me... so its a physical thing since I'll fuck anything that looks good. But women tend to be deeper than that.

I know this is very hard to believe but women do have types.

These preferances can be broken but you need to be given a chance.

Some women like black dudes, some asian, some hipsters, some Italians, rich guys, Ed Hardy homos, ect...

Now as a white dude(blonde hair, blue eyes) with somewhat of a "disney" look, I approach a girl in a club. Lets say she is attracted to the Italian look. She will blow me off. I do not fit her "type". She may be nice but unless she gives me a chance beyond the first impression, I'm fucked.

But if I were to approach the same girl day game style with a indirect opener and have a good chat. I could totally break through her preferances.

Are you speaking direct approaches day game and club?

Dan also stated it well. You could have triggered a non-attractive switch by doing something poorly.

Some girls have a strict idea of the type of guy they want, even with the best "game", youd probably wouldn't get far if you don't meet her standards. There could be various reasons why she doesn't like you, and some are outta of your control to change, but most probably aren't.

Another thing, if they are saying " your not my type" your probably showing to much interest or being too direct. They shouldn't even be telling you this if your being indirect ( but idk what your type of game is). If they say this you say "what are you talking about?" and deny flirting with them. Then change the subject.

When is it good to say that? "Your pretty, but not my type gig." I said that to a girl on POF and not sure if it back fired. It went something like this.


Me: Wow! You're GORGEOUS, too bad your not my type!
Her: What's your type?
Me: Beauty is common. Less common is good energy, a great personality, and a positive outlook. You've got two of the three...
Her: You can't say that too people, I thought you were going to say something else but you said that. You can't say that to a person you haven't ever talked with before like they're not a good person.

Where do I go from here?

You probably should have made a new thread for this. You could have said anything. That's the problem with canned game, you have a witty line but if A or B isn't said you don't know how to respond.

Anyway, these sort of lines are made to be used in person. They can come off the wrong way over text.

Going back to your question, you could have just wrote "You're answer only proves my point" and just ignore her and see how it goes. Anyway, stop using canned shit.
